Boeing AH-64 Apache have two 1,700-horsepower T700-GE-701 turboshafts. They slung on each side of the fuselage in heat-signature-reducing pods, turn the four-bladed main and tail rotors made of steel and composite materials, allowing speeds of 182 miles per hour, a service ceiling of 21,000 feet, and an endurance of 150 minutes. The F-111 first was tested in combat in Vietnam during 1968, but issues with the design delayed its full fielding until Operation Linebacker. It would go on to become one of the most survivable bombers of the war due to its ability to penetrate at a low level, with only a 0.015 loss rate.

The F-15 Eagle was first flown in 1972 and entered service 45 years ago, in 1976. The world in which the Eagle was born was that of the Cold War, since then the Cold War has ended and military technology has become ever more stealthy.

The F-15 Eagle is a fourth-generation fighter jet. Today, fifth-generation fighter jets are in production, and sixth-generation are in development. And yet, in all of this, the F-15 has managed to remain relevant and is still being produced for the US Air Force.
