A Sucker Punch From Your Neighbour/Friend?

This demon clown has done more damage to the USA in 6 weeks than all other potus combined have done cumulatively ... ;)

And the Maggot crowd is eating it up as they love the fact that the US is being deeper and deeper isolated on the world stage as the vast majority of them are hermits who like nothing better than sitting around all day in their dirty underwear ... drinking beer .. watching re runs of the price is right and glued also to fox news ... and bitching about Liberals ....

Damn.... Here I am....Having a bourbon, watching re runs of All in the Family, and bitching about the Liberals. Almost make me think I should go and change my underwear.....

Stumbled on to this video which is accurately described the current situation between US and Canada?
What is even more alarming is the prospect of a possible annexing Canada. All possible because the mad man doesn't care for rule of law.

What I find fascinating is the hermit world Trump has created for his followers. These peoples lost the sense of truth. They are filled with deep personal hatred towards the other side of the political view (Left). I can understand if you are Jews and feel the way you do towards Nazi. His followers lost the ability to cipher what is real and not and lost their own charater/value when it comes to politics. I find there are quite a few at my work fits in that category. Mind munipilation at its best.

Last year was the first time my Wife and I actually took our RV on a long-term trip (8 weeks) into the United States.
Sure there were short, isolated visits in and out, but never anything substantial.
Having been across Canada a few times already, it seemed only logical to expand our horizons.
The people were great.
The geography was terrific.
Our plans were to do the same thing over the next few years, altering routes until we had essentially 'passed through' most states.
It's not cheap travelling, and while I'm sure our contribution to the U.S.'s tourism industry goes relatively unnoticed, it was significant.
Now, with the way things are, forget that nonsense.
I'll be sticking to Canada, thank you very much.
We still have the Northwest Territories and Nunavut to check out, so there is no shortage of natural beauty to behold.

Adding to this change in attitude, is our company's annual 'team building' excursions.
We have taken a group (usually around 10 - 12 people) on 4 day 'outings', either to Vegas or Miami, every year for the last 10 years.
Guess what?
Not anymore.
This year it will be stay 'home', meaning Canada, or stay 'home', meaning if you don't like it, don't come with the rest of us.
I'll not be spending hard-earned money in the States, only for this clown to blame his problems on us.

It's utterly amazing how this one man can singlehandedly drive a wedge between old friends and allies.
I truly wish the American people would wake up and put a stop to all of his antics, before it is simply too late.
Good for you DW, besides NOT giving your $ to the USA, you will be supporting Canadian business👍👍!

Given our temperature the last while it’s too early here yet for yearly change number two …..long to short , until next fall.

Here's something that won't make you mad... Considering how we feel about what is happening in the world now, I totally enjoyed this in it's entirety.

Excellent. Gave me goosebumps and an even stronger sense of pride to be lucky enough to be a Canadian. A citizen of the greatest country on earth . Thanks for sharing this.
Be great if we could afford to have this broadcast on All American TV channels so they know that we will never be “American “ under any circumstances. I mean why the hell would we want to be.

Don't know if many of you follow Charlie Angus/The Resistance. He is the NDP MP from Timmins. I'm not an NDP supporter but I subscribed to and have been following Charlie's page for a while. He's an interesting guy who talks sense. Here's the latest.

CANADA IS UKRAINE

TRUMP IS A TWO-BIT PUTIN

In the face of insults and a threat to destroy our sovereignty, Canada is done being nice. And the narcissist-in-chief at the White House is freaking out. Howard Lutnick, Trump's top trade negotiator, said it bluntly:
Instead of Canada meekly saying "thank you" to the United States, we are acting like "Ukraine."

Canada as Ukraine.
Now, the cards are on the table. We know exactly the frame by which the Trump administration is viewing us – like the gangster Putin - believing they can plunder us, break us, destroy us as a people. And they are upset that we haven't said thank you.
This was never about trade. The game plan all along was to crash Canada's economy. The way MAGA figured it, Canada would quickly cave and come crawling to the gangster headquarters in Washington. Canada would beg to be admitted as a vassal state.
But that hasn't happened. So, the stakes are getting much higher on both sides of the border.
Trump's erratic and vengeful economic policies have created increasing uncertainty in American markets. The United States looks like a nation careening towards a self-inflicted recession.
This is why MAGA is pissed at Canada for not bending. We were supposed to be an easy shakedown. The response has been equal parts bluster and whining. How else to make sense of Pete Navarro going on television to beg Canada to tone down the rhetoric? He says our talk of "throwing down the hockey gloves" is freaking the Americans out. He is asking for "cooler heads to prevail."
Navarro made the plea during a loony 24 hours as Trump threw tariffs on Canadian aluminum and steel, then freaked out when Ontario responded with our own tariff on exporting electricity. So then he doubled the steel and aluminum tariffs to 50%. By this point, the American markets began to seriously tank.
This led his trade spokesman, Howard Lutnick, to call on Premier Ford to ask if they could meet in person. You know, de-escalate the rhetoric and let "cooler heads prevail."
Now, Lutnick is trying to spin another great Trump victory. It was all about "making some guy in Ontario [Premier Ford] break."
We shall see.
The problem for MAGA is that Trump won't let cooler heads prevail. In the midst of the tariff chaos with Canada, he opened a new trade war with Europe.
The United States economy is now deep in a trade war with China as Canada's $30 billion retaliatory tariffs kicked in, plus another EU's 29 billion euro slap at the Americans. Little wonder that the markets have become increasingly wary.
What we are witnessing is an unprecedented game of political and economic chicken. Industry investors are pulling out because nobody knows what Donald will do – day to day or even hour to hour.
Economies can't run amidst such chaos.

The Economic Fallout
Let's look at some indicators.
In January, the American Travel Association warned that a 10% drop in Canadian travel to the United States could wipe out billions and cost thousands of jobs. In February, Canadian flights to the US dropped by a staggering 40%.
But instead of trying to entice Canadian travellers to return to Florida and Arizona, Homeland Security says the snowbirds will have to register as foreign aliens. They've backed off on plans to fingerprint Canadians. But still, so much for letting Canadians know that their dollars are welcome.
Prior to Trump 2.0, Canada represented the largest source of tourism dollars. And while it is too early to see how Trump's war with Europe will affect tourism, I am hearing from many Europeans who have embraced the Canadian boycott.
Let's talk bourbon.
Brough Brothers Distillery in Louisville had huge plans to expand into the Canadian market. Those plans are dead now. Kentucky whisky makers are also seeing their markets drop in other countries. They are quickly learning that Trump is the worst salesman on the planet for American wares. And nothing says America like bourbon.
Then there's his war on aluminum.
The United States is dependent on Canadian aluminum. It simply can't be produced at a reasonable cost in the United States because it can't compete with Quebec's low-cost hydro system. Quebec aluminum heads to the US, where it is manufactured for many uses, including beer cans. Throw on tariffs and retaliatory tariffs, and you have just put a massive dent in the beer supply on both sides of the border.
Theoretically, the United States could rearrange its energy grid to compete with low-cost energy from Quebec, but it will take a long time. If ever. Meanwhile, a number of dependent industries have been punched in the face.
But there is good news: Elon Musk has seen $126 billion in value wiped from Tesla in a single day. How's the toxic MAGA mania working out for you, Elon?

The Fight for Democracy
This is not to make light of a very serious threat to Canada. We are in the fight for our lives. Canada is like Ukraine, and Trump is a two-bit Putin. We need to take his threats very seriously.
Canadians will need to embrace the spirit of Ukrainian resistance. And we must add that strong Canadian fire.
But we need to be cool-headed.
The reason the likes of Pete Navarro are getting freaked out is because Trump is running a massive con on the American people. While his economy starts to tank, investors flee, and prices rise, he acts like the tough guy.
This is going to come down to our determination to hold out while the chaos unleashed on the American people puts Trump in an increasingly weaker position.
I have quoted Yeats before when talking about the beast that has slouched into Washington. I will cite him once more:

“Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world.”

I don't believe Trump can keep it together as things fall apart.
We are on the front line of the fight for democracy. Stay the course.

You could see this coming. Trump is a malignant narcissist! Hitler was as well as Stalin. This is what these SOB’s do. We will be lucky to be around in four years!
Never going to happen - relax!!!! Media hype!!

I've never owned a gun.
I learned how to maintain & fire several weapons as a young'n, but never felt the need to buy one.
Until the govt started that "hand them in" program.
It made me suspicious, as a non gun owner.
I still haven't made a decision on when, or what to buy, but the time is getting near.
Sadly, I think we all (responsibility) need to be armed ...........just in case.

Never thought we talked about being invaded/annexed by our neighbour in the south in a serious manner. Joke between American friends which I have but now it is a low possibility? Btw, I am glad that Greenlanders told Trump to take a hike on joining the US. If they had voted yes, he may very very seriously pushing us towards joining as well by all means.
We need an act of God to remove this tyrant from the White House soon to be rename Presidential Palace? lol....

Interesting. I was just the other day thinking that I should probably clean my unregistered weapons as it’s been a while, lol. Although the current government wants us all to turn in something like 3,000 or so different weapons, I’m not sure of the exact number, that take dozens of different types of ammunition and parts so they can send them to Ukraine I think I’ll just keep mine thank you very much.

I clean my guns each time I put them in my safe, but i was thinking about them yesterday and did a quick inventory on ammunition. Since ammunition comes from the US, it would be smart to stock up now if you're getting low. When Trump finally realizes that Canada is not going to roll over and take it up the A$$ for him and he intends to use military force, I'm guessing he will stop the flow of ammunition to us. If he hasn't already. JMO

Someone got to him as the weapons are once again flowing to Ukraine from the U.S. to my surprise.

Not even Nostradamus has a clue as to what “ Brown Eyes “ is going to start raving about next……thankfully there are ammo options by the look of this…Perplexity of course. Nice thing about them is they have foot notes linking to the source of their answers unlike most AI search.
Most ammunition is manufactured in several key regions and countries:
1. United States: The U.S. is a major producer, with companies like General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems playing significant roles.
2. Europe: Countries such as Germany, France, and the Czech Republic are significant producers. Companies like MEN Germany and Sellier & Bellot Czech Republic are prominent in the industry.
3. Brazil: CBC Global Ammunition, which includes CBC Brazil, is another major player in the global ammunition market.

I know this will irritate some, but I don't see an issue with keeping guns if they are kept safe in a safe and are registered. For most people there is (was?) no need for them, but sport shooting or shooting for food is quite a reasonable use for them. I certainly hope there is no need for them for any other reasons (orange ape reasons, that is).

First they come for your guns , then books, then independent media, then , freedom of expression, freedom of travel……then, I don’t even want to think about it.
