Poll $80 000 question

Since I'm not a Corvette guy and all the previous generations do absolutely nothing for me my vote is #1 or nothing.
Sparro are you O.K with maybe not getting your convertible this summer and getting a 2021, patience is a virtue but life is short trying to find a balance

I have been toying with the reality that the way everything is going with the pandemic my chances of getting a 2020 convertible this summer is very slim now and I'd probably be bumped over to a 2021. I'm not happy, but I really want a mid-engine car with the exotic looks but is still an affordable car to own and drive. Nothing else out there is either in my price bracket or my looks/style bracket. So I have no other choice but to wait for whatever comes my way. It will either be a late 2020 or a 2021. But I will wait for whatever happens first.

So boys my budget is extremely tight hence why I ordered a C8 ( 1LT ) I dress the way I dress because extra money goes to cars and bikes lol not because I don't want people to think I have money.
I hear you. I'm a blue collar worker. My C8 is more than a year salary. I was going to retire this year. Not now. I made a decision in my 20's to live/travel/play rather than plan for my 80's. My life has been rich and full. Taking into context the world health situation, if I go tomorrow, it worked for me. Find your happy spot Gilles...

I guess that pretty much says all. If you[re not a "Corvette guy", haven't previously admired the C7, have wanted an exotic all your life and now will settle for a budget McLaren look-a-like, than that pretty much makes the decision for you.

^^^The above is my personal situation. Everyone else differs. I could get a good used R8 but really don't want to do that. The C8 had everything I'm looking for so I'm personally gonna wait it out and get whatever it ends up being. I plan on keeping it and enjoying it. I'm not gonna trade-in for a C8 Z06 or anything like that.

Could these cars be any more different while having the same name on the back, I know a lot of C8 owners are new to Corvette and have views like Sparro, me I haven't owned a Vette since my 20's when I drove a C4 Vert 4 plus 3 lol and see the charm in both cars. As good as the DCT is I still I'm attracted to having the last manual Corvette

Having drive both, other than the spelling of Corvette, there is totally zero comparison between a C4 and a C7... just saying....

Love my C7. The styling still turns heads even after 6 years. IMO, the C7 was, and is still ahead of it's time. The C8 is gorgeous and likely performs wonderfully. I'm not so much partial to the C7, just looking at the feasibility of the choice available at this time. Either will bring a smile to your face, it's just the C7 can do that now.

Option #1 -2020 C8 1LT Sebring Orange Z51 package MSRP of $81000 at Status 3000 who knows when I will receive it
or
Option #2- Brand New 2019 C7 Z06 Sebring Orange MANUAL List $98000 for $82000 available today drive tomorrow

I'm having a serious dilemma between the 2
Disclaimer that I'm totally biased towards manual's ... have a C7 M7 and had 2 earlier (C3 and C5) manual's. I'm not a fan of the ME design, nor the interior of the C8. Decision would be super easy for me...but it all depends on what's on your checklist of what you want.

I went with a m7 z06 in fall time. not sorry. the c8 which i have not seen in person yet, was a consideration but with the wait times and dealers not knowing if i could get one pushed my decision. let them work out the bugs on c8. one of the fellows in club here is getting his this coming week. hopefully with mask and sanitizer i can go visit. a corvette ride isolation sounds good to me.. just my 2 cents

Well, ya kinda did. I refrained from posting "My name is Elmer J Fudd. Millionaire. I own a mansion and a yacht". But I didn't:angelic:...
Yeah the struggles us millionaires have is rough. LOL. It's all good. Sorry about my post.
