Just heard Finch Chev London has an immediate open allocation for a 2024 C8 NON Z51. Good news for anyone waiting at another dealer and doesn't need a Z51. I deal with Morgan Crosbie at Finch who is their Corvette specialist.

Looks like they have 2 non-z51 allocations

Jack, I have waited this long, there is not a chance hell that I am going to budge on dropping anything that is factory built/installed on my upcoming car. I would rather wait a month or two or three, then every time I drive the car, 'Man I wish I had this or that" or "I should have waited as this in not exactly the car I wanted".
I learned the hard way before, don't cut yourself short!

Sounds like people are willing to roll the dice on the build they want, but will start bitching in April that they don't have it and it may not come until October...

Completely understand if I was nearing that age or point in life where time is no longer on my side. I might consider dropping some options. Maybe those will be worries for me when the C9 or C10 cars are being launched.

This is exactly where I land... I'm not spending this amount of money and time waiting to just take whatever... with that said, these lists are clearly being exhausted, or at least run through a LOT quicker, even my Toronto allocation came in and I had to postpone to next month until I get clarity on my current order.

I bet you could reorder your car with the Toronto allocation and get your car faster by starting again, than you will get your car out to BC. What your dealer saying about your current order status?

Respect your decision, but after 4 years of this model build, nothing is guaranteed for production or delivery. If you can wait like this rest of the 72 year olds and hope to hang on to see it, go for it and good luck to you...
If your 72 ... or ... 27 ... nobody knows what tomorrow holds ... just look at the membership of the 27 club

If we were talking about a civic or some s%^& like that then yea who cares about the options

But we are talking about a Vette ! :D

And no please dont jump on a build you dont want just because some stealership ... yea Finch included ... says they magically have 2 allocations that " nobody wants "

My dealer called me last March and said I could have a guaranteed car BUT it had to be a non Z-51. I said no problem, sign me up. I think guys are looking for excuses to get out of their alottments/orders right now. The market is changing but it isnt collapsing. I dont think there will be any issues filling alottments for Spring/24 deliveries.

I'm legit contemplating this... I haven't signed any official purchase agreement with the priced invoice yet... if these issues are entirely random, might be worth it... but having an order submitted now probably means a solid 6-8 weeks before it gets built which might give my Vancouver order enough time to come through.

If you were ordering a 2024 Black Coupe, I have two of them available right now. A 2LT and a 3LT. The time frame to get cars shipped out there is frustrating. I can get a car overnighted here and delivered on the weekend. I think even if I lived in BC, I would be wanted to order the car through Ontario where you have more control.

Unfortunately I have my heart set on Torch Red with all the stealth options plus convertible
