That's an awesome build.. and yes look expensive! I thought I was expensive after tax I'm at 107K. You got the vert like me. So your order is in the system sitting at 1100 like mine, I'm pretty sure verts don't come off constraints until January 20th.

Contact Carlos at MMR. They have an OEM buyback option for $500. I did the standard wheels too cause I don't really like the look of them and I didn't wanna pay the $1295 CAD for black paint. Instead I got the MRR 755s in gloss black for $1499 USD with a $500 USD buyback on my OEM wheels. Since your in Ottawa and I'm in Toronto we won't clash...lol... unless I'm up there visiting my son at Carleton.

YES I was like WTF lets go 3LT as I wanted the Natural Napa full interior sad I could not get a blk insert on the GT2 seat.

What colour did you go with Torch ?

Taxman hit me for $14K (Bastage hahahahah) I'm at 125K but I have till Monday if I want to make some changes as order will go in Tuesday.

Ya they were saying het GM could grab them on Wed if they wanted but will most likely be a January date the constraints come off.

Yes I went torch red with natural interior. I was on the fence about the carbon flash roof and nacelles, but kept it body colour. I wish they had an option for carbon flash a-pillars are roof and keep the nacelles body colour. But that's ok, I can get the a-pillars and roof wrapped in carbon flash 3M 2080 film.

Wicked! I am going to get some stuff wrapped in Carbon Fiber 3M like the cooling vent and maybe the stuff that is Carbon Flash....as well as clear on lots of the body.

I saw online there are a few places in the states that PPG has a paint on protection layer so no lines. There are more shops in Europe so lets hope some shops bring it up here!!!

I personally recommend getting some PPF - Expel or Suntek is, from what I understand, the best.

A ceramic coating is not going to protect the paint from stone chips or heavy scratching. The PPF will. At the very least, I'd get a PPF bra and ceramic coat for the rest of the car.

I have one customer who had the bra installed on his 'Vette. It was SunTek 5-year stuff. Took a knarly stone to the front of his car while bombing down the 401 - ripped a giant hole in the PPF, but underneath was the smallest little knick, didn't even harm the paint. Without the PPF, there would have been a massive chip in the paint.

Hey all,

I would like to bring to light an error I may have made when originally creating this thread.

The source of information for "7 orders accepted across Canada" comes from a tool we use at the dealership for locating inventory at other dealerships. The software listed one at Bill Spencer Chevrolet and 6 others across the country.

There are two types of order entries: Retail-Stock and Retail-Sold. 'Retail-Stock' orders are for dealer inventory and 'Retail-Sold' are for custom builds for a specific customer.

We can see both, or so we thought.

It turns out, we can see 'Retail-Sold' orders when they reach Event 5000 - 'Delivered to Dealer'. Perhaps, and I'm still not 100% certain of this, but there is enough supporting evidence for the argument - we cannot see 'Retail-Sold' prior to reaching Event 5000 - this includes Event-3000 'Accepted by Production Control'.

Therefore, it is reasonable to believe that my initial notification from September 28th, 2019, that was only 7 2020 Corvettes accepted across all of Canada is incorrect. There may be significantly more in Event 3000, the exact number I do not have access to discovering.


I apologize for the misinformation. My intention participating in this forum is to bring information and assist people with regards to everything related to the Corvette, especially new information coming from GM. This was a mistake on my behalf. I understand it spreads quickly and users of this site have come to rely on me for accurate information.

I apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this may have caused.

Taxes might be $14,000 on your Corvette, but if you have a child in the USA, your medical bill would be $10,000 to $30,000. Count your blessings.

Just saying.
