Thanks to you all! Yes the price is interesting but I'm going to see it in person first...I'm skeptical to say the least....but, I guess we'll see. Thanks again.
David
I’ve been offered this wide body, made by Duraflex. Seller bought it from eBay and says it’s fiberglass. Asking $2,500.00 CAD only for panels. No inner vents or wheele wells.
Thoughts?
If it’s worth it I’ll go see it all in person but I could use some advice about the maker first.
Thanks...
I've been wanting my windows tinted for a few years now but have been turned off by the 'dot matrix' on the back window and the resulting air bubbles that emerge if the tint isn't laid down properly. After a little digging around, I found these guys - and literally down the street from my...
Oh absolutely.
It's Wilson Niblett in Richmond Hill.
Wilson Niblett Motors - Richmond Hill, ON
The only reason I brought my car there in the first place last April was for the headlight and roof recalls. Otherwise I was perfectly happy with my own personal mechanic caring for the car.
As a...
Well, the mystery is solved.
There's actually a recall on the 'Active Handling' for 05-06 models under the Vin Numbers listed in the recall, and yes mine qualifies.

Why my original Dealer has been giving me the run around since April and...
Thanks for that. The car is now stored, but once I take it out I'll absolutely give that a go.
I'm curious though, and forgive my ignorance...I know nothing about motors and electronics, but how does the brake fluid relate to the traction control?
In other news the dealer never returned any of...
Thanks guys for the suggestions.
I checked my phone and as fate would have it, the image of the code reader was still there.
Here they are:
P0171 Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 1 ECM
and
P0174 Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 2 ECM
I've googled them but they don't make much sense to me.
Any suggestions...
Yes I did. I've since deleted the image of the codes so can't tell you what they were but I gave them to the dealer but they told me that they'd do the same. Not sure that they did...not sure 'what' they did....
But...
Let me bring you up to speed on what's happened since I made this post...
Hey everyone.
This message pops up from time to time...maybe once every few months or so then the next day it's gone. When it happens the car seems to almost jerk forward as I start accelerating from a complete stop, and just doesn't feel safe.
The dealership says everything is in fine working...
Had the car in yesterday. 05 LS2 Base C6, black on black.
Appointment was booked for the headlight wiring and roof recall, oil change and front fender clip replacement.....and well, the headlight wiring was done but for whatever reason the roof wasn't in yet and because it has to be color...
I just booked my appointment for the low beam light recall and the dealer told me that there was a second recall on my car, the roof had bee recalled due to it being defective.
Anyone have theirs replaced yet for this recall?
I have the hardtop, but wondering if they'll give me the clear top...
Hey Rob,
That's actually very interesting and please clarify this for me because I've got my car here in the warehouse right now and it's dark...are you saying that it's possible that the under hood light 'could' be on even when the car is off and parked, thus draining the battery?
Sorry, just...
Hey Everyone,
I have a 2005 Base Model C6. Purchased Used in Nov 2012. No accidents on the car, at least none that were reported...and we even had it scanned to see if the air bags had been deployed. Again, a no there as well.
Here's my problem and my question....
Naturally the whole...
Just a quick update here...
Car runs like a dream. It really roars when I start it up now. Absolutely a massive difference there.
Question about indexing the windows? Yes, I had to do that and reset the clock.
Couldn't have done this without you all so once again a big thanks!
David
You guys rock, seriously...thank you.
OK the lock bolt was a pain to remove but I got it out.
Just finished installing the new battery and the car fired up right away.
Couldn't have done it without your help folks. :canada:
I stuck with the Delco...here's a pic of the original battery that...
