But only for the day. I just got word that the provider that hosts our site is doing a server change over late on Feb 10 through the morning of the 11th. They don't state what time zone they are talking about so expect an 8 hour delay somewhere on being able to get onto the forum. This news would have been better if it was summer because I could have just taken the car for a drive but now I just don't know what I am going to do with myself for 8 hours!!!
In an effort to cleanup some languishing sub-forums we've started cleaning up and re-organizing things a little bit. Effective 5 mins ago the following forums have been merged and 'disappeared'. Northern Canada is now gone - if you feel strongly about it please buy a vert and drive it up to the Yukon, take pics and we will gladly put the forum back. Pics with shorts on will make you a lifetime honorary member. :) Travel forum is now merged with General Lifestyle. If you have travel related tips please use the General Lifestyle forum from now on. Thanks. There will be a few more changes/merges over the next few days.
****Edit put in by Riley P**** Hi Everyone! I really respect your opinions on this subject and just want to know what the members on this forum think. Should there be a minimum post count before you can post in the for sale/wanted section? For now, due to the size of the forum and the people we have been getting on here, I am going to leave it open to new members but still want to hear opposing sides. Remember, talk with respect, we all have the same passion here. At a later date, the decision to have a minimum count may change. We just ask that anyone that uses the forum as a classified add also returns to participate in the conversations so we get to know more of our Corvette brothers and sisters in this great nation! Thanks...
We experienced some intermittent email delivery issues yesterday with our Amazon based email relay service. I think the internet is getting a little stressed out or amazon is prioritizing purell shipments. As a result you may not have received some CCF emails during the day such as notifications, PMs etc. Things are looking like they're back to normal today. No action is needed, just check your PMs in case you missed something.
As most of you may not be aware in our vast array of features we have a Showcase section right here on CCF (under the Toolbox menu) where you can showcase your garage queens, drag racers, salt carvers and other utilitarian Corvettes. Basically show off your car or future car as the case may be. The section is open to everyone to post in. It generates a thread and allows you to upload a bunch of pics in a better more searchable format than a simple thread alone. Have a play over here: https://canadiancorvetteforums.com/showcase/ This section will also used for our Wiki and Resource pages.
It has been noted (and subsequently investigated) that certain members are abusing the edit/delete own post privileges to intentionally disrupt and in some cases decimate entire threads. Almost every platform out there including the seedy ones (looking at you Facebook ;) ) have hard stops on edits meaning after a certain time you're not able to go back and edit your posts. CCF has probably the most generous Edit Own Post and Delete Own post restrictions out there largely because the vast majority of you are responsible enough not to abuse them. Not all though. Repeatedly putting false, repetitive and incendiary posts then editing/removing them after the fact is by and large a form of trolling which goes against our rules. It is a fine...
Hi All, Been getting quite a few private messages from new and regular users about events happening in 'Insert your Province'. Noticing that our events calendar here is a little on the sparse side for August. As a reminder all CCF members have the ability to enter events using our Calendar feature (hit Calendar on the navigation menu -> then hit Submit Event button in the top right area) or use this handy shortcut (Upcoming events). All events created via the Calendar will generate a thread in the Events forum automagically where conversations can take place so you don't need to create dedicated threads. It's pretty simple to use and you can even setup RSVP and recurring events. If you announce your event as a regular thread it will...

Anyone interested in joining a Corvette Club from around Saugeen Shores please go to Saugeen Shores Corvette Club and leave us a message. Please check out our new web site. We have a Corvette show scheduled for Sept 29 and 30.
Dear CCF members, As of moments ago we have opened new sub-forums to support two Corvette Clubs that have shown interest in utilising the CCF forum as their "go to" place for club talk and events. Big thanks to Riley for reaching out and the club organizers for participating. Please welcome (in no particular order): 1. Saskatoon Corvette Club - club moderator is @SmokeShow 2. Stoney Creek Corvette Club - club moderator is @Bucks New forums can be found in the new Clubs category on the main landing page. The club setup is pretty basic at the moment, if you're a Club Member and want the little badge in your profile please start a Conversation with me and I will add you. As we evolve we will ultimately develop new tools to help...
