I would like to introduce to everyone a new moderator on the site. Silversurfer will be helping Riley P with the moderator duties from now on. If you have any questions about anything concerning the site, you can send either of them a PM and they will be more than happy to help you out!
Please welcome our friend (Steamer) Rob on the 'wet' coast who has just been 'promoted' to the status of Moderator and all that that entails. He has graciously agreed to help out with issues and questions here for us and is a welcome addition to staff. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge both mechanical and otherwise and can be much assistance with whatever questions you may have. Cheers Rob -- Welcome aboard and congrats, brother -- but most of all thanks for helping. Holler if I can help.:canada::canada::canada: Colin.
It is with great pleasure that we'd like to announce that Eric (@Rruuff Day) has joined the CCF moderator community. Eric has been pretty instrumental over the last year in testing new features, helping new members navigate CCF, and no doubt as a mod he will continue to help grow the forums and its membership. We approached Eric some weeks ago and after some reluctance due to the sheer amount of tax planning he'd have to setup (new offshore accounts and so forth) he accepted the position. :) Please welcome him aboard and help him help you. Thanks again Eric. CCF Crew
Folks, It's no secret that we've been experimenting with a completely overhauled mobile app for CCF. We're currently close to ready with beta builds and as such we will start releasing the app to the app stores and google play stores shortly. This will be a mostly gradual rollout, with the Beta tester groups getting early access to it. As such we will for a little while have 2 CCF mobile apps until the bugs and kinks are ironed out in V2 of the app. The new app will have a different look and feel, and will implement a lot more features normally found on the CCF Mobile Web browsing experience. Look for more announcements in the near future on this. Nik
Dear members, A new Media Of The Month 8/2015 contest just started, you can submit your pics and videos on the dedicated album page. You have 14 days to submit your pics and videos, up to 3 media entries per user are authorized. Once the submission phase ends, members will have 10 days to vote for the media they like the most. Good luck to everyone ! CCF Staff
CCF is happy to announce moarr and better Media integration. Media Albums and post attachments have always been a bit disconnected. With our recent uplift we can now put an end to this obstacle and spend more time browsing media instead of reading words. Effective immediately a majority of our forums will be synchronized with our Media Gallery. This means you can simply browse through every image or video attached to a post in the relevant forum directly via our Media Page as if it were an album. Every image that you attach to a post will be browsable via the media gallery and opening an image will show you all comments added via our Media section. New Categories for images split by forum can be found under heading CCF Attachments...
Thanks in large to financial support from our members as well as our sponsors we have acquired a fancier, quicker bare metal server hardware and after hardware validation will commence the process of migrating CCF over. Our HW is still located in Canada including our failover site. What does this mean? We will be able to support significantly higher traffic patterns. Mostly future planning. We will add native CCF video upload support so those of you sharing vids via youtube will in future be able to directly upload to CCF without the extra steps. More media storage space. Enhanced performance in general. It will take some time to move over our assets so I will splash you with plenty of notice if any downtime occurs. This is a heads up.
All, We've taken the opportunity to aggregate various CCF rules and guidance threads into a single User Manual thread found here: Announcement - CCF User Manual Nothing new to report but for new comers please ensure you read this before posting.
Hello CCF, Happy to announce that I've rolled out a totally redesigned custom classifieds system for us to replace the older more generic one that was giving us issues. As part of the rollout you will notice that we're pushing through a feedback system (your username will now show feedback received/given etc). Please take a moment to post something in our new classifieds section, give it a whirl. There are hundreds of more features that I'm going to gradually unleash on you but the basics should all be there and work. Feedback is always appreciated. Click below: https://canadiancorvetteforums.com/classifieds/
Hello CCF, We've rolled out Featured Ads to our Classifieds system as well as Service ads to vendors who wish to participate in the program. Your ads on our classifieds will automatically feature for all Supporting Vendors, Mega Donors, Mega Supporters and Forum Sponsors currently. This includes anyone who is subscribed to our Mega Supporter here (Account upgrades) or has donated at least $30 in the last 30 days via our Donation pages (Donate towards CCF). Featured ads will also be opened up to a select number of users. Featured ads will show prominently above all other classifieds as well as on the CCF home page. CCF Service ads are also available to vendors who wish to advertise their business or Corvette related services...
Happy to roll out a few new and super fancy features for our CCF members. First one is a brand new Live Stats dashboard that will be located on our homepage: This will offer a near real-time view of ALL activity on CCF, you don't need to refresh at all. All members, posts, likes, activity will be updated here in real time. By default it includes all forums except for Internet News but you can customize it by hitting the gear icon and selecting forums you don't want included. 2. Our What's New auto-refresh feature now includes the All Activity page and has been refactored a little. If you had disabled it previously you will need to do so again this one time. Hoping to launch number 1 today.

Big day for most of you out at various events so took the opportunity to do more changes to make the forums easier to navigate. Here are the notable ones you may have already seen. 1. New menu bar with all your favourite forum options is now available beneath the original menu (the red bar) for both regular desktop and mobile users 2. Media gallery is now fixed *hopefully* completely. Now when you go into an image you have a whole range of options available such as tagging members, cropping images, using image as avatar, moving images to different albums and more. See screenshot for an example. 3. Made option to add media as Full Image as opposed to thumbnail more visible. When you upload media you will see two buttons [Thumbnail]...
