Hey All, Just a quick update that we are re-organizing the CCF store to make it more accessible to all and as of this morning I have rolled out new CCF mugs in multiple colour variations. The location of the store and your cart can now be accessed via the Coin Icon (top right). This will be the location of both your VetteCoin inventory/store as well as the Apparel Store. All order pages have been updated. We are still taking orders for classic Tees and hats. I'm planning on rolling out more TShirt variations as well customized Logos with your CCF Username for those of you that want extreme levels of customization. Order processing should take 1-2 days now and shipping should occur within a few days with standard delivery at 10 days...
Dear Members, It's that time of year where I pass around a plate and promise eternal life and infamy to the lot of you. :) Firstly a huge thanks to all of you whether you donate your time, posts, money or any combination of those. Without you CCF would not be what it is. As you may or may not know CCF runs on a lot of love, dedication, donations from our members as well as our cherished vendors. We do not run ads, sponsored posts nor do we sell your info to third parties. Our vendor sponsors do not spam nor upsell aggressively. As such our revenue streams are somewhat limited. We do not run a profit and any money raised is pushed right back into our operating costs. This is not a sob story but is by design :) Our costs include some...
Important Announcement, In keeping with the times we're now offering users and guests the ability to switch between a CCF Dark Mode and your regular CCF theme that you're all used to by now. Effective immediately you can switch to CCF Dark by scrolling to the bottom of any CCF Page and clicking on the little Theme Selector box (currently labelled CCF Regular if you're in the current theme). You can also expand and collapse the width of forums depending on your preference. The new CCF Dark theme brings a very fresh and different look to CCF so word of caution there. For example all the menu and navigation items you see up at the top are relocated on the left handside pane. You can always change back to the current theme at the click...
And now for the big disappointment. It's one of my new business ventures that we've kicked off in the last few months. I've added a link to our Vendors section (no need for a dedicated forum for this one). We're a small but extremely well equipped and experienced Shopify partner with capabilities to handle almost any Shopify related activities. If you've not heard of Shopify head on over to Shopify.ca - it's a Canadian company specializing in turn-key single platform ecommerce solutions including POS to run your business. Catering to small and large business and everything in between. We recently helped migrate Steve Madden to the platform so it's not all mom and pop shops. Our new website (still in development so apologies for the...
Another fresh feature for you CCF lovers. I've just rolled out awards and medals. It's a fun and totally non-gamified way 🤣 of earning achievements and medals on CCF and have them proudly show up on your profile and message postbit. Currently all awards are granted automatically based on a mysterious blend of wind and fumes (the names are a bit of a giveaway) so you do not need to request them as they will be granted when you hit the relevant criteria. In future we will be launching one time or single use awards that will allow you to either request or nominate your favourite CCF member. Based on predefined criteria and a bit of discretion we (mods and I) will duly act on this and probably grant them out of laziness. We will continue...
Western Canada Corvette Caravan 2019 Decals are now available on our new CCF online store. Thanks to Spence (@SN-III ) the WCC West Crew now have an official decal. They are available for everyone to purchase for $6 each inc. shipping. Net proceeds of Five Dollars will be used toward the not-for-profit Western Canada Caravan organizing and related expenses. One Dollar from each Decal sold from this store will benefit the Canadian Corvette Forums. Direct Link to the item: Western Canada Corvette Caravan 2019 Decal - Corvette Forums Blog & Shop Link to our store: - Corvette Forums Blog & Shop It can also now be found on the main navigation menu up above. Note I've not had a chance to properly enrich out CCF Store so we're rolling...
CCF Members, Very proud to announce that Murray @Black 03 Z06 has been strong-armed and mildly blackmailed into joining the ranks of our Moderating staff. Murray has been with CCF since the early days and is probably our most active member today. He has been and continues to be one of the most prolific and well regarded contributors to CCF. Staff will be helping train Murray on how to best abuse his new powers over the next little while at which point we will let him loose. So before he bans us all please give a very warm welcome to Moderator Murray. We are very honoured to have him onboard. CCF Staff
Hi All, Been getting quite a few private messages from new and regular users about events happening in 'Insert your Province'. Noticing that our events calendar here is a little on the sparse side for August. As a reminder all CCF members have the ability to enter events using our Calendar feature (hit Calendar on the navigation menu -> then hit Submit Event button in the top right area) or use this handy shortcut (Upcoming events). All events created via the Calendar will generate a thread in the Events forum automagically where conversations can take place so you don't need to create dedicated threads. It's pretty simple to use and you can even setup RSVP and recurring events. If you announce your event as a regular thread it will...
Hey everyone... Your Media of the month voting opportunity for June closes Saturday. We have a lot of great pictures of cars from cruises, new member cars, and just some great photography, so show your support for the membership and the guys and girls that post pictures for our enjoyment. For anyone unclear on how to vote for a picture in the Media section of the forum, here's a link that will take you to a detailed instructional. Picture Posting to Threads and Media Albums and Voting for your Favorite Media Picture Made Easy In case clicking on the link takes to some outer limits weird place, here's a reprint ... VOTING FOR YOUR FAVORITE MEDIA PICTURE Hey everyone. FYI, your beloved Canadian Corvette Forum runs a Media of the...
In an effort to bring even more personalization to your profile pages, here come Profile covers... What is it? Basically it's like Facebook covers... And for those that don't use facebook it looks something like the below image... How do I use it? Hover over your name in the top right then select Your Profile Page. When in your profile you should see a Manage Cover link, click it. Next screen will allow you to upload up to 10 images no more than 1Mb each. If you upload more than one image your cover will transition every 8 seconds to the next image. Upload images and hit save. You should see your new cover pic. Pic looks cropped? Yep, well you can reposition it by clicking on manage cover and reposition then save. Pic still...
All, Due to a relatively low turnout in the MOTM contest CCF is going to change things up again and make the contest easier to use and access (at least that's the plan). The old script would create a new dedicated Media Gallery Album each month and users would be asked to upload their entries directly into the dedicated album (then vote after a number of days). The new script and rules are as follows: 1. On the 1st day of each month a new MOTM contest will be started - a new dedicated thread created as usual 2. There will NOT be a dedicated Album created 3. Users will be asked to vote for ANY media in ANY public album 4. The contest will auto close at the end of each month and the media with most number of votes gets the candy (in...
Dear CCF members, As of moments ago we have opened new sub-forums to support two Corvette Clubs that have shown interest in utilising the CCF forum as their "go to" place for club talk and events. Big thanks to Riley for reaching out and the club organizers for participating. Please welcome (in no particular order): 1. Saskatoon Corvette Club - club moderator is @SmokeShow 2. Stoney Creek Corvette Club - club moderator is @Bucks New forums can be found in the new Clubs category on the main landing page. The club setup is pretty basic at the moment, if you're a Club Member and want the little badge in your profile please start a Conversation with me and I will add you. As we evolve we will ultimately develop new tools to help...
