I read what Dennis said and I agree with what your saying here. Let's face it we deal with the fact that the US gets 90%(2021) -91%(2022) of the allocations and the rest of the world gets 9-10%. For 2022 our allocations fell from 7.2% to 3.9% but Canada is still the second biggest market for the car and the top export country. When it was safe to do so and I listed my 2020 Coupe for sale, I got more calls from the US about buying the car than I did from Canada. When it comes to the Z06, most American buyers are dealing with dealers that want 50-200K over sticker. Up here were fortunate to just pay sticker and the luxury tax and tax on that tax is our governments market adjustment were stuck with for now. If one is fortunate enough to get a Z06, the value of that car will be in direct proportion to what the cars are selling for in the US because no matter how many get built for the US, buyers will want to snap up our cars in heartbeat. The demand for the Z06 (which is off the charts right now), will determine the future value of this car for the next couple of years at least. Our top dealers have waiting lists in the hundreds. If these waitlists continue, the market for any used Z06 or E-Ray that becomes available will be priced at an equivalent value of what the cars are selling for in the US. We have a lot of smart people on this forum that know that 80% of the Canadian population lives within 100 miles of the US border. Whatever comes up here, is wanted down there because the cheapest place on the planet to buy a Corvette is in Canada and the smart dealers in the US know that! Great discussion guys!!@DenisC8 Our C7ZR1 prices and C8 waitlist times reflected in the used market are almost certainly indicators of C8Z pricing to come. But hey feel free to believe a car with 6-7 year waitlists won't come with a ridiculous mark up in the used market.
