I had the pleasure of attending a small informal Jesse Cook concert a number of years ago. Amazing guitarist and a super nice guy.
Just came across his music about 6 months ago and really like a lot of it. Good player for sure and always seems to have some very good musicians with him. I like that style of music in general which is how I found him , by looking for similar on Amazon Music.
You'd like Oscar Lopez then. Calgary musician from Chile. Getting old now and lots of issues. First time I saw him was walking along Eau Claire market in Calgary and he was playing at a bar's outside venue. The tequila shot were flowing fast the rest of that night... lol
Great story how this came about. Worth looking into if you’re into Cuban jazz .
