Your favorite driving tunes

Mike, we used to go to a bar in Downtown Toronto called "Prego" (sadly closed). We knew John Rutsey (RIP) from there who was a founding member of Rush. He was a great guy, lots of funny stories, he was a very smart and creative. The one thing you hoped to avoid with John was shaking his hand, it was like sticking your hand in a vice. I guess all those years of drumming developed some super human strength!

Always enjoyed seeing him. Sad he was snubbed in the Hall of Fame ceremonies for Rush.
Oh that's cool you knew him. Yeah,I can imagine the stories of those early days. I recall his passing and playing the first album for a week or so after. I always wonder if the other boys helped him out once success came? I'd like to think they did.

As a sidebar to this Murray, next Sunday,I'm going to be in Fernie,BC, birthplace of one Alex Zivojinovich AKA Lifeson. I'm hoping there's a sign or something acknowledging that.

Mike, when we knew John he was working on a stage play parody of G.W. Bush. It opened in Boston and he had great hopes for its success. Like the song by ZZ Top (I think) "Sharp Dressed Man", he was indeed. Always dressed like the professional he was. A really nice guy who had the ability to make you laugh and laugh at himself.

Think I'll be watching the "lighted Stage" doc tonight. Been awhile actually and,I'm kind of on a "Rush" kick anyway.

I down loaded all my music a whole 700 gig on a 1 TB Drive. Then plugged it in via USB in behind radio. I know have all my music at fingertips. It’s amazing. Yup 700 gig never the same song on a drive. All thoughs years of collecting and sharing and trading music finally paid off. Classic, country, rock, blues, and much more.
