A "Corvette" SUV is a Corvette in name only. It's a joke. An SUV is never in the same class! You really want to see an SUV do an Autocross? How about a Corvette pickup truck? Why not? How about a Corvette express van?

Base price of Canadian C8 Stingray can reach $110,000 from the current $79,000

We already know that the 2024 Canadian price change was not a price "increase" for the product, but a "correction" to the USD to CAD exchange rate as $1 USD costs $1.35 CAD

Here is what I predict:
1. There is more exchange rate price corrections coming for 2024 model year as the exchange rate will get as bad as $1 USD to $1.40 CAD
2. A)When the UAW strike is over and they get a 25% pay increase in USA that will equal to 35% increase in Canadian price so C8 will see multiple price increases going forward.
B) Once UAW get their 25% increase, that will set precedent for 25% pay increases for parts manufactures and suppliers.
3. Currently, the used Canadian C8s are the cheapest they will ever be due to:
A) End of driving season
B) Record high 8% interest rates
C) Flippers dumping their "investments"
4. Global C8 Stingray production will decrease with start of E-Ray and Z06 production on Monday Oct 2nd and will never comeback to previous levels
5. Canadian allocations for 2024 C8 Stingrays will be the lowest of all past years.
6. the C8 will go down in history as the best sports car for the money.

In conclusion:
If you are happy with your C8, hold on to it for as long as you can.
If you want to get rid of your C8, wait until at least May/June 2024.
If you want to custom order a new C8, don't delay and order ASAP.
If you want a new C8 that is already on the lot, scour the entire country for available 2023 model.
If you want a used C8, don't delay and buy one ASAP.
Just priced a 2024 HTC Z51 loaded online at $139,000, add the Fed Luxury tax & BC HST, and the price pops up to $191,000. So happy I managed to get the first edition 2020 with exactly the same options at $124,000 all in. With "miles of smiles," no returns to the dealer for anything other than oil changes, the 2024 price increase is $57,000. This is nuts!

Mind 2023 priced out to be just around $118k ish + taxes with bare minimum options in 1LT except for Z51 and couple other options if I were to buy.
I may have to settle on a used 2021 when the time comes in a couple of years.

It’s not just Corvetts .
Check out the average car price in Canada now !

no, just MSRP no taxes. 2020 $75k, 2024 $93k plus tax...
Did they add $699 dealers fees on your configuration?
They did on mine. I never paid that much at Cullens!
Edit: Was $84,443.00 w/o dealers fees. Now 106,380 w/ $699 dealers fees so about $105,680 w/o

I think that's just a standard add-on in the online configurator, not what a given dealership is going to charge (maybe it's a max that GM allows). It showed that for me too when I was figuring out my options, but Cullens only charged me $250.

My 23 is a fairly basic 2LT (non-Z51) MSRP was $93700 - I paid $92 + tax for it as I was price protected. I bought about $1500 of accessories through the Parts Counter after the fact. I priced my car out as a 24 as equipped today and its $110,800 inc LT on the configurator. I know if I sell this one, I will never buy another one.

My allocation never came in for 23 as I had hoped it would. That is life.
1st world problems!
