Last week I bought another C4! A very scruffy 1985, but rust free Arizona car. It runs but is haggard and the kind of car I don't mind playing around with.

Hope to dig it out of the ice and get it home in the next week or so.
What to do, what to do? Could be a track day toy for example. For now... I'll just try to get it on the road by 2015 at the latest!

Hahaha! It could be worse. It will be a pretty cool little project for you. I like where you're headed for possibly making it a track car. It should eliminate having source too many OEM parts.

I watched a Youtube vid last fall, that had some Motor Mag take a L-98 and install large tube intakes , headers, and a cam. They came up with some amazing numbers for the lowly L-98. in the range of 400 hp as I remember, mind you I suffer from CRS( Can't Remember $hit) syndrome.

Congrats on the C4.

LOL, then I'm not alone Don.:D

Pleased to report that Blue VelVette is is my possession.... well... it's at my friend's place ... 45 minutes from my house!

At least it "sits" well. Nice Stance.

How about that shredded fiberglass on the fender and side vent and the horrid headlight cover?
At least it "sits" well. Nice stance.

Inside looks okay in the pic. Reality is more like a dog fight pit.
Did I say it "sits" well? Nice stance.

She's one fine '85 -- Nothing there that some body work and paint won't fix.

Love C4's no matter what shape they're in.

Congrats....and kudos for stepping up and saving it.

Well... finally got to spend a little time on the car!
For the first time... I got it running and moving back and forth in the driveway.
I bought it 1/2 buried in snow and ice last Winter and couldn't even get the doors and hood open at the time. I bought a real "pig-in-a-poke"... but sometimes one must take a chance.
After a while, idle was smooth, gear engagement was nice and it pulled forward with no slip or bad noises.
The electronic dash shows no signs of life and I think it started to boil the battery... so it looks to be overcharging.
Steering and brakes feel fine. Windows work. Forgot to try the lights as I was running short on time by then.
Overall... it is at least as good as I hoped. (well... no worse than expected anyway ;) )
David :)
