Tough question, I feel like that mirror would make the driving experience easier and safer, if your budget allows another $12 000 go for it.Hi, Gilles did you try the rear view mirror how was it, is that ok or we should take the 2LT ?
thanks

im already use to it, i drive that van all week long !12000 rear view mirror lol. Rent a panel Van for a week and get use to no mirror...
This topic may be approaching a dead horse, again each should spec what they want and value most. It is afterall YOUR car not anyone other than you. You have to live with what you get. They are incredible cars at all levels. Z51? 1,2,3LT, GT1, 2 seats? all very subjective value propositions. Nice to see more cars with diversity of specs being delivered. I am now seeing other C8's at least once or twice a week out on the road. There's considerably more than just a rear view camera mirror... look at all the extra options and get the 2LT ... just my opinion
how do you like the 1LT seat, comfort and sweat ? because its not ventilated ?Tough question, I feel like that mirror would make the driving experience easier and safer, if your budget allows another $12 000 go for it.
"Kitten"?Ill chime in with my build 1LT Z51 w/FE4. Im a younger guy (by corvette standards) @ 39. I wanted the lightest version of the car, in order to be as capable as possible at the track, but remain a kitten when cruising. Mag ride is also re-programmable, so us early adopters will be able to "update" our suspension in 5 years when they have had extensive time to hone the handling characteristics. Jim Mero has a company built around this.
I too am fairly pissed about the option lockout of the rear view mirror camera safety feature that is standard on every other model of the car. Trying to force people into a $10,000 option package to get this needed safety feature is a ballsy move. Sure it doesn't need to be standard, but let me option it for a price on a 1LT coupe.
Haha pick whatever animal you want to insert there, I was intending soft and compliant. Perhaps Raccoon?"Kitten"?
Thanks for the reply, which size of garage door you have I have a 10 foot large I will be ok for that, for the rear mirror I think I will be ok because I drive a cargo van 5 day a week with no view im good with my side mirror, for the seat do you sweat in it I want the red one, I have the money for a 2lt but I don’t want to spend $10k for some minor things because my car will be store 6-8 month a year we have big winter here and a lot of saltHey Kevin the rear window view is no doubt very small. The side view mirrors are more than adequate in my opinion though to stay in a 1LT build. I owned three C7’s with all of them being Z51 and 2LT or 3LT plus mag ride. I don’t miss any of it over my current 1LT build. Remember though that I will never track my car and I wanted to spend as little as possible. The only thing that I probably would have liked to have is the power folding mirrors from the 2LT. My car barely fits through my garage door if I don’t fold the mirrors.
Also I purposely selected the sky gray seats because we drive around always with the roof off. I did not want to get black seats when the 1LT has no ventilated seats like the 2LT has. I used the ventilated seats always on my C7 with black seats.
how is the backup camera view ? maybe we can replace the rear mirror with the backup camera, do you have a way to access the backup camera all the time or only when the car is in reverse ? probably its only a switch that activated the backup camera and pop up on the screen maybe we can modified that !Hey Kevin the rear window view is no doubt very small.
