WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! Livingston International Replies to Car Damage Claim!

Like you said Garry -- hard to imagine how they figure this is good business ....

Bad publicity comes back 10-fold to hurt.

I do hope they know this forum exists and we are a force to be reckoned with :D.

Take no crap my friend. These guys need to smarten up.

When is your appointment with marketplace?

C.

I hope they get exposed for their lack of customer service and lack of taking responsibility for their actions!

Good morning!

Still no news or a reply to my original request for an explanation on why they considered the fender damage as pre-existing. This is going back five weeks now. I'm not sure if they are so rude as to just close the file or what.

While I am in the middle of harvest time is precious but my thinking at this point is after harvest when a farmer has the winter to kill to talk with dad. He runs an engineering business and he had to take two customers to small claims court twice before (both successfully I might add) about the process to go through.

That will be further bad publicity to Livingston International in that they cared so little for resolving this issue that I as the customer had to resort to this due to their lack of attention and care to this matter. But so be it. Win or lose it needs to be done to allow me to have a clear mind that that I did what I could to have satisfaction.

I am with you as well Colin. I take a lot of comfort that through this forum I have been able to warn off others from dealing with Livingston International and that it will end up costing them much more in lost business and a damaged reputation than it would to have just paid me the $940 and taken care of their employee recklessness in damaging my car in the first place.

Imagine instead if I had been able to post how fairly Livingston International had treated me in paying up for the damages they did quickly and right away and how that would affect people's opinion of them as a fair and reputable company instead of as the opposite????

Cheers,

Garry

Wow, hard to believe that for such an incidental claim that they'd screw you over.

What a bunch of jackasses.

Lost revenue from bad rep will be 1000 fold over what they could have settled for with you on your legitimate claim.
Hard to believe such businesses exist.

Hoping your harvest makes up for their ineptitudes.

Colin.

I am not sure but lack of Courtesy and Intregrity Chev who dealt with me poorly, still has that 2007 vette on there lot after 2 years, and now it is 4k less and it is still there.
I hope it is the power of this forum screwing them.

Good evening Colin, tqracr,

Yes, you'd think that they would have nipped this in the bud rather than letting it spiral out of control but the ball was in their court and I hope to have them there too!

The harvest does look good actually and I can't wait to get a combine in there to see what the yield is like. Should be 40 bushals per acre for sure which is good money........

Tqracr, that is the best news ever that that dealer STILL has that car on their lot!! Serves them right and obviously they are not learning their lesson!! Livingston International - are you paying attention?????

Cheers,

Garry

Good afternoon,

To further add to being able to warn others I was considering making a YouTube video of the damage to the Z06 along with the story and attitude of Livingston International.........any comments or thoughts?

Cheers,

Garry

LOL I'm sure they'd love that -- Why not tell them of your plans b4 going ahead with them to give them a chance to reconsider their position.

If there's nothing forthcoming then send them a link to your video, and a link to CCF and all our opinions.

C.

Good suggestion Colin,

Here is what I just sent to them.............

Good morning Joanne,

Wow the response to my posting of my expereince with Livingston International on the Canadian Corvette Forum (CCF) has been beyond my wildest expectations!

General Corvette Discussion - Canadian Corvette Forums

47 comments and to date 1004 unique users have viewed the thread! What terrific publicity!!

So my next step will be to make and post a YouTube video of my experience with this situtation but one of the forum moderators, CCO (Colin), thought that Livingston International deserved one more chance to pay in full for the damages to my car so here it is.............

I thought of a potential title of "Livingston International damages and then refuses to pay in full for repairs to car man buys for himself to celebrate 5 years of surviving cancer".............

I emailed them and told her how a certain Chev dealer still has a car on their lot after 2 years .
The fact that 1700 members saw my post about the real issues I had, might have soured them on dealing there, and the fact that we are a close knit forum and we support each other.
Also I signed my name and where I live to prove we are Canada wide.
I would never use them now.

Good afternoon everyone,

Well I just got an email from Joanne/Livingston International as follows, anyone hazzard a guess if this is good or bad??

Cheers,

Garry

......escalated for resolution.......???? What the crap does that mean?

It means they're reconsidering messing around with Garry.

Keep the pressure on Garry: ONce Mr. Domenic Santini contacts you unload on him too and add that you're done screwing around. It's time for Livingston to come clean and honour their contract.

C.

I just emailed Joanna and the claims department also. Here's how I closed my email.

"We are a “small” group of individuals, but each of us have a network of friends coast to coast and across our borders to other countries. My recommendation to any of my friends would be to read Garry’s story and make their own decision in regards to using Livingston International. When shipping cars the lowest price is not always the best choice and customer service speaks volumes of how a company thinks and values their customers."

Signed my name and location also. Keep the pressure up Garry.

Before the Mackie's guy loaded our Chevelle to ship west, he went over it with a fine tooth comb marking down every little chip, scratch or blemish. The car was delivered to Langley, British Columbia in fine shape. If a vehicle is properly strapped down during shipping, it is hard for me to understand how damage could happen. Sounds like some employees in the shipping yard should be sent down the road.....some management too. In any business, 75-80% of your business should be from referrals. If it isn't, your business will be constantly struggling and will more than likely fade away. Too many people make this mistake. There is a guy here putting down a new walkway. ALL of his work is through referrals and he seems to be busy all the time. I guess we should all send e-mails to this company. I just did.

Good evening gentlemen,

Yes, when I got home there was a message from Mr. Santini for me to call him, with is office and cell #.............

I may have to wait to cool off a bit as I am still hot under the coller that things have gone this far and for this long.

I really do appreciate that you contacted Livingston International directly to give your opinions and concerns. Your support in this matter has helped me to continue on with this to see it through.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not out for blood or vengence. I just want Livingston International to pay in full for the damages to my car when it was in their care, plain and simple. How they could have stopped this whole matter from the get-go if they had just treated me decently instead of trying to give me the run-around and to see if I would give up and just go away. Uh, no, not this guy. When I've been wronged and in this case I certinaly feel I have been treated VERY poorly by Livingston International, I owe it to myself to follow through and to warn as many others as I can and in this case to make the CCF form members aware of my experience so they can judge for themselves if they would ever consider dealing with Livingston International on the basis of my experience with them.............

I can't tell you all how much having your ongoing support has meant to me. It shows that indeed we can have a positive impact on things when wrongs are inflicted on one of us...............

Cheers,

Garry

Congrats Gary.

Of all things I have ever had "escalated", I've always found some resolve. I applaud not just your, but the entire family's tenacity and candour here.

I hope Mr. Santini is a pleasure to deal with, and that Livingstone can save some face here. The ball is squarely in their court, lets see why happens!

Good morning xlr8r, buckhorn76,

I hope you fellow are right. I was shicked to see the number of views ont his thread shoot from 1007 yesterday morning to over 1100 this morning! Just imagine having been able to report a positive experience with Livingston International over being treated decently instead of this disaster...........what would good, positive, free publicity have done for them in this case I wonder?????

I just noticed it was Friday the 13th as well!!!!!!!

I might see if I have time to call Mr. Santini, VP of Operations for Livingston International, after lunch - I have to take my son to school this morning and then off to stage canola in a test plot, I'll return with about 90 minutes to spare before I have to go and get my son after school.

On the plus side I'm taking the Z06 to go to the plot since it is adjacent to a paved highway and I don't need anything other than my camera and clipboard. So here's to using a Z06 work work and getting paid mileage for doing so!!

Cheers,

Garry
