For me it was a couple of things that lead me to Callaway.
Calgary is on the other side of Canada, a short 46+ hour drive. There are VERY few if any other skilled installers of SC's in most of Canada. I spoke to the Davenport guys, great guys but just not feasible due to location. A couple other shops have done a couple or few ... I have no comfort level for that.
Callaway is in Connecticut, USA, which is a 7 hour drive for me. Callaway is a full Serial #'d build, With a full 3 year warranty. It is a complete Engine drop build, ground up 2.5 weeks is the build time. ECU is unlocked for Tuning as part of the install. Their Gen4 Supercharger solutions are pretty amazing piece of engineering. They have done 100's of Corvettes over the year and could argue next to GM, they are the best engineered platform to ride atop Chev's. They are not simply bolt ons. There is some value in having a "Callaway Corvette" ... The team there has been amazing, and me being the first C8 to have a Callaway Supercharger is pretty exciting for both me, and Callaway.
I'm sure the other solutions available are good, just not in the cards for me so I'm pretty laser focused on this solution, for me.

This doesn't make sense. If I modify my vehicle in Canada is it not the same vehicle if I modify it in the US. No difference to the vehicle, as the mods would be the same in either country. Changing the original factory issued (OEM) parts would effect the vehicle the same. Nonesense.I've been sniffing around having my C8 supercharged (or a Z06) and after getting all the details from Hennessy & Callaway ... The good ol Canadian Government is now in my way.
There is a "newish" rule in place that modified vehicles cannot be imported into Canada.

Once modified (other than having general repairs or routine maintenance), the vehicle no longer maintains its original factory issued certification. This certification is required for importation into Canada. This also applies to Canadian certified vehicles modified in the United States and returning to Canada. For example:

- a motorcycle converted into trike,
- a cargo van converted into a camper,
- adding a suspension lift kit to a vehicle,
- adapting a vehicle for disabled access,
- lengthening a vehicle or
- re-fitting a vehicle with a different body kit.
I called Transport Canada and explained the details of what I wanted to do. I was told I could order all the parts and have the work done in Canada, no issues at all. But having the EXPERTS at Callaway in New Hampshire do the work for example, then makes my car inadmissible coming back to Canada.
I've sent an email to Transport Canada explaining what it is I might want to do, and see if there is any way to have it "pre-approved" ...
Ridiculous really ....
Their shop looks spotless. Usually a very good sign . Next time I’m down south I’ll drop by there and have a boo .

Talk to Steve. Toss in a plug for the forum if you feel like it. If you want to see who's done what there, use Davenport as a search. The only one I know who was headed there for a Hennessey on his 2023 left the forum before I heard if he got it. Lots have done other mods there.

Stay tuned … working out the final details and pricing. There is some uniqueness in my case as I’ve gotten approvals from the Canadian gov, to ensure this is all without issue, and in the process opened the door for Callaway to sell to retail in Canada for the C8 platform.
I will have the first Callaway C8 in Canada

I have no idea how they knew, but they did.
I've seen Humberview Chevrolet in Toronto sell a couple of C8 Callaway cars this summer, they're the official Callaway dealer

I recently had a Pro Charger Stage 2 supercharger installed by APX Performance in POCO. It was, I believe ordered from the Pro Charger distributor in Edmonton. Also lowered car 3/4 inch, added spacers to move wheel more in line with wells and after market exhaust - supplied by Paragon Performance.

I'd question this, as Callaway claim to not have sold ANY C8's in Canada yet. Transport Canada rules dicate absolutely NO new Cars, unregistered by an owner, can be modified.I've seen Humberview Chevrolet in Toronto sell a couple of C8 Callaway cars this summer, they're the official Callaway dealer

And with me jumping government hoops with Callaway in full support ... tell me this is the case. They would not even sell me one when I first approached them as they were working with Transport Canada for a retail solution (which they still do not have sorted)

Btw, Boarder guards aren't stupid. They know all the tricks.
I once bought a car part on the web and have it sent to the US mailbox. Upon returning to Canada, they don't believe the value and when online where I bought it from to check my story. They said it is because the declared difference were only $200 in value and $26 bucks in taxes, they let me off. So I play along and ask what should I do next time to proof my purchase. They advised me to screen captured and printed to proof of your purchase value.
And on the same trip, they were looking for a receive/proof of my new looking summer rims and tires that I had bought during the fall of prior year.
They thought I swabbed them during my day trip to the US without declaring them. They check my car and my cell for some proof of the purchase. I was driving my econo hatch Mazda lol..
