Thermostat With Header

The guy at a local speed-shop recommended a new thermostat for when I install my headers. Anyone else do this to their C6? Is it worth the extra cash? What is the main benefit for doing this?

Wondering if he's trying to take me for a ride.

I have to install a 160 stat with the headers .

All our header installs get 160 stats.

When you install a 160 Stat, you have to reprogram the fans, right Manny? Would there be a benefit in doing a tune at the same time since the computer is already plugged into the car?

A little bumbed out about that, but it might give me some extra time to find the corsas anyways.
