The Wave

I was going to work yesterday and a Scion XB waved at me from across the highway....it was my daughter, she was going to Kingston. (I didn't wave back, I hate those cars, and she works for a competing company)

i like tearing bandaids off old hairy people !!!.........wait a minute...i AM an old hairy people

I wave when I can. If I forget to wave or they miss my wave, I turn around and chase them down!

There isn't a rule that you have to wave. If someone doesn't want to wave, no big deal. I'll wave to the next guy. I think you don't get waves from C6 guys mostly because they may not know about the wave. Just wait until the C7 comes out! I doubt we'll get many waves from those guys until they know about it. I just don't like if people don't wave because they think their Corvette is better than the other guys, that's rude. But if it's just because you don't want to, that's just how some people roll, good enough.

the written part of my post is entirely due to mandatory population of the field..........

Count me in!
I waved during my bike days and continue to do so with my Corvette 'brothers' and 9 times out of 10, am rewarded in turn.

In my book there's nothing wrong with a little appreciation and respect for someone who shares a common interest! I look forward to another summer of miles, smiles and waves!

Beauty ride Rich -- I'm not surprised at all to hear that you get a lot of waves.

Love C4's and that hood sets it off really nicely.

not very many waved out on the west coast last summer, i can tell you that. until i hit the usa, that is.

It's pretty obvious that the animals are getting restless around here. Hopefully the rain between now and Sunday will get rid of the salt. Sunday and Monday here are looking like sunshine. We'll be out if the weather man finally gets it right.

Warmer this week here, Keith, tho with some wet (Wednesday is supposed to be nice) , but the weekend temps will be in single digits. I hope it's the last of the cool temps.........so that we may get out and wave...:D

My wife says a Corvette is an old mans car......I don't care what label people attach, it is MY car!

Hello Range, it's funny because I have heard the same that vettes are old mans car. I think it's because we just couldn't afford the when we were 18?

When we got our vette we noticed people waving here in Toronto so we have always reciprocated and joined the wave.

Nice to be sociable and acknowledge a fine car. I find it exciting to see other 'vettes of any vintage and am happy to give a wave of appreciation.:seeya:

Funny what constitutes "old" isn't it -- When I was a kid in first grade apparently my teacher was "old" -- she turned out to be all of about 25...:)

ONce reaching that tender age one thinks old is about 50-60'ish.

Now I'm beyond that, old is considerably more -- (tho my back would differ at times) --

I suppose the important thing is to feel young at heart and to act as young as you're fit enough to act.

"Old" -- "Young" , it's all a state of mind, and yes Paul , the pocketbook does come into it too, for most of us anyway. :D

Keep the wave going ... young and old.
