Pulled the trigger and decided to buy the Morimoto XB headlights. Best price was Sharp Light Innovations. They had a sale and then with shipping was $1660 Canadian.
should be here tomorrow so getting the car ready for tear down and install. Wish me luck!

Spent a few hours removing the front clip and doing some initial cleaning. Read several posts in taking the front clip off and all missed the 4 plastic anchors behind the grill area. Once undone pulled off cleanly. Luv the look, but damn they are pricey...
Agree and had struggled with the price for some time. The existing headlights were good in their time and I had upgraded to HID's in the lows and fogs quite a few years ago. Been slowly upgrading key items in the car over the pass few years to keep it current, sound deadening, sound system upgrade and electronics refresh (Steering column lock issue) as well as maintenance. The car doesn't owe me a thing so this just improves the driving experience.

They have arrived. Two packages, the lights and a separate wiring harness from Sharp Light Innovation that replaces the one supplied so it is all plug and play. Have to say packaging of the lights is excellent.

You're probably right Dennis. I know I'm enjoying the tear down, cleaning and install as it give me some satisfaction to know i did it myself.

looks right side up to me Paul.. ;)

Installe dread lights last night, anchored, wired and checked function. sharp Light Innovation supplied thier own harnesses so the lights are truly plug and play. No need to run a wire up to the fuse box. Now going to sand black cladding to remove underside scratches as much as possible before finishing up install. 915985B7-084B-4ADA-99D6-EB36A65C6F05.jpeg6B03DEDD-979F-48CA-9EB4-3EBF2028E57C.jpeg

Looking great Paul. It's nice to see other people having Obsessive Corvette Disorder as well.

I see the while I'm here situation has started.

This is how complete restorations begin you know! 🤔 i.e. my 70 which was purchased to be a nice driver. 😂😂

You're right Ziggy, it started while ago and it's getting worse. Got the doors sound deadened as well and wondering what to do next. Thinking maybe upgrading the seats. Here's the finished look. I think it looks more aggressive.
