For what it's worth, I think only Delta, Southwest and Jet Blue are still leaving the middle seat empty. Westjet and AC are filling all their seats as well. Just flew back from the coast. In all fairness, given the close quarters in a plane, an empty center seat makes little, if any difference. JMO

I always fly business class. Better social distance with the seat spacing or individual pods is a bonus and likely the ticket prices will be bumped up to reflect that. Will find out soon...although I have flights with 4 airlines on credit vouchers now due to my 6-month "holiday" here in Thailand. So maybe sometime quarter 2 next year when I actually have to buy another plane ticket.
@ABC hold your breath and have a great time.

Just flew my kid back down to University of Arizona.
$400 one way business class.

Currently cross border business class travel is very good value. However, in a twist of normalcy Economy is (currently) more flexible than business as it relates to refunds/ change fees etc..

I am dieing to go but not willing to die literally or compromise my health or anyone close to me from a trip like this. The US is out of control and I thought the border was closed to non essential travel?
Agree completely. Anyone going down to the US is not considerate of others in my opinion. Is this so important that people are willing to travel during out of control pandemic in the USA.

ABC, do your own searching for pandemic info for the USA and it sounds like you already have! It is a big country with 350 million people and while some places with high population density do certainly have an above average COVID incidence, Nevada is quite low based on % of population. Personally, I would not go to a casino or stay at a hotel in Vegas but I would trust Spring Mountain to exercise great care for their guests. It is a very limited access facility. That said, it will not be the same experience as pre-pandemic; eg. classroom and social time with masks, distancing, etc but seat time will be fantastic in the C8. The small town of Pahrump (2 miles north) has a couple of spots where you can pick up some adult beverages and snacks for your room. In life there is always risk but it can be mitigated through assessment, education and use of the appropriate protocols. Enjoy the ride ABC - lucky guy!

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions on risk assessment. I have certainly done my research and I am quite comfortable with the trip. I have no plans of visiting Vegas and will be staying just at the Spring Mountain facility and yes our group of 10 has arranged a dinner night at a local winery that will actually be dry (no drinking) funny story. So thanks for the tips.

Been to that winery. It's a fantastic time. Wine heaven They offer you a huge assortment of tasters before dinner. And the food is great.

Wait what? "actually dry"?

Yes, it will be a dry event when we are there. The winery lost its license, haha. Gotta love the Irony in that. But I am told the food is still great so the group I am in has made reservations for us despite the lack of libations. Rumour has it a cocktail hour may be scheduled prior to dinner.
