Random Pictures You Took

Well yeah...

Last night, Haliburton....

The boat on the rocks in post 2094. View attachment 128287 1 month and 2 storms later.
Very strange that the carbon tax didn’t prevent this from happening… ;)
I do hope that you had insurance. Curious as to why it wasn’t taken out of the water before the storm. Was it an unexpected event ?

It's not my boat. A guy tied it up to an unused mooring buoy with a 1/2" line on one stern cleat back in august.

Most of us knew it wouldn't last through the 1st fall storm.

Within 2 hours of the storm on Oct. 18, the line broke and it was on the beach.

There are a lot of gov't agencies involved in getting rid of something like this and it takes time.

Just back from a week's fishing way up in northern Saskatchewan. Won't bore you with fishing stories but had to post a picture I was extremely lucky enough to catch. My fishing buddy Larry had just finished reeling in a big northern pike and held it up for me to get a picture before we released it back to the lake. He held it sideways in both hands and just as I snapped the picture, the pike decided it was going back in the water on his own and didn't wait. The look on Larry's face says it all. Pictures like this don't happen very often.

That’s why you should never go skinny dipping in Northern lakes, lol. Dangling bait so to speak. Look at the head on that thing ! And teeth like needles. Great shot incidentally !

He didn't need to worry. We release all fish that size. They are the breeders at that age that keep the population growing. The smaller 24 to 30 inch are our eating fish.

Didn’t take this one and it certainly isn’t random supposedly being the first photograph ever taken…..

Sunny day believe it or not. Air quality index at 10+ . Good news is with the ventilation on recirculate I couldn’t smell any smoke in the car…this was July 30 at 3 pm . Second image is at 4pm . Same crap today. But we are lucky in that this is the worst this season.

Good sized Pike ! I like the Muskox . That’s the only other one I’ve seen . We have one as well.
Elon Muskox is an 11-foot tall living mosaiculture sculpture of a muskox located outside Yellowknife City Hall. It was named through a 2018 contest after Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, by a Florida man who submitted the winning name. The sculpture’s body is a flowerbed that changes with the seasons, and it was originally part of a Canada 150 horticultural exhibit in Gatineau, Québec before being gifted to Yellowknife.

Beauty picture ! We have been 10+ well , more like 20+ for the past 6 days
although it says 4 this morning but supposed to go back to 10+ for the next few days according to the forecast. Getting very tiring given how short summer is to begin with. This is the fire now on top of Fort Providence which caused their evacuation yesterday. Pray for those poor souls.

1km from the town this morning. One of about 15 fires surrounding us but thankfully none really close. Just the thick smoke. We have had ash coming down the last couple of days. These fires are like something from the apocalypse. Scary as hell.
