Heading North of YYC this morning ...
The Mioon Sets in the West from the Cloud-line above and then to the Rocks Below in a time span of less than 30 minutes. We see this at times with Chinooks but the cloud line is higher.
Sorry for the crappy shot .... the best I got of this as we drove along

At my Red Deer A&W stop this morning ...
I definitely know the dealership is pretty happy when you buy a Lamborghini 😁
Met a fella there who was in for service and was grinning and bearing his thoughts of almost having to finance his service bill (he didn’t elaborate much further).
I was checking out an over-priced used C7 ZR1 at the time .... 🤪

The first guys crazy enough to look up at the north face of Mt Temple and say,,,,Let’s climb it.

Charlie Locke went onto owning the Lake Louise Ski resort for a lot of years. He was the big boss when I worked there.

Brian Greenwood went on to make many significant first ascents in the Rockies on some serious routes. Many up on the Jasper highway area.

Forgot to post this from the lake Louise daylodge. Sure don’t see many of these around anymore. Let alone 2 of them in pristine condition like these complete with “white pages”

Cool payphone photos Mike. My Dad ran the coin operation for AGT and the yellow page sales too. We have a few fully operational earlier metal specimens in the family and these are three of mine. I have the housing keys and coin box access keys too. Also the coin boxes. Black Dials were common and the Teal were hard to find when these were replaced with the plastic housing pay phones. The teals has coiled receiver cables that people would cut. You can see the steel encased cables for the black hand sets.
These three phones work on Telus analog lines but I have Shaw now ... I have not tried the push button though ... it was a real bugger to get operational ... as the in house repair fellas did not like them at all and I had to pull out all my bribes and trades to get someone to fix this up for me.

Just across the soccer field from my place this morning. A black Honda Civic t-boned this Infiniti SUV. Didn’t get pics of the Honda as it was too far down the street. Both ladies driving unhurt and thankfully no kids in either vehicle.

Hardly a mark on the SUV. The Honda’s front end was crushed.
