How come you have an Edmonton Eskimos jersey hanging there ? :Spit::Spit: I thought you were from Wisconsin !! JK !!

The best NFL team ever...Green Bay Packers...from Wisconsin...like me...all the best things come from Wisconsin...duh !!!

Lol

They also sense if you are carrying a shotgun.... briefly.... then they sense a feeling of warmth.... about 350 degrees ....

What about all those feathers? Lol

I was on 10 acres outside of Missoula, Montana on private land 5 years ago...my now 22 year old son wanted to shoot a turkey....cause we saw them everyday that weekend...I said it is okay...but you have to clean it...package it up...etc.

He shot one....chased it...shot it again...then it took him 2 hours to pluck feathers...lol

Lol.... Yes... feathers are a pain... I have a buddy that has an electric plucker....... It's homemade but works really well.... We don't have turkeys around where I hunt so only have to worry about goose feathers.

A homemade electric plucker? Now,as I sit here,I’m trying picture that in my mind..... I can’t for the life of me. Lol.

hahahaha....No shame in that Mike... They can come in a lot of shapes and sizes.... Envision a portable electric drill with an 8" or so shaft built to insert into the drill chuck. Mounted longitudinally on the shaft is a can about 8" or 10" diameter. The can has numerous rubber plucker fingers sticking out of it (yes. you can purchase rubber plucker fingers). One guy runs the drill and the can spins like hell, you hold the goose up against the plucker fingers, and it plucks the feathers out of the body and between the plucker and the wind, it scatters feathers all over hell's half acre.... there are also guys that build them inside an old wash tub barrel... that does tend to contain the feathers a little better.... Word of advice.... Even if it's really cold outside, don't do this in your house.... not even in the basement.....

This is just a pic off the net but you get the idea. The can is about twice this wide on my buddy's plucker.

Yes... they are silent.... Trying it on a live chicken would likely not be ......
I like knowing where my food comes from.

That gadget works great and those roaster chickens looked very healthy and delicious....nice free range.
