I'll ask the event organizer (Rruuff Day): will you put in a "good word" with the RCMP to turn their attention elsewhere and NOT on any of the "all roads lead(ing) to Ponoka" on the day of the event? I'm sure given all your sway, that should be no problem and we can all leave our radar detectors at home. ;)

PS: this is really a shameless attempt to keep this thread in the "member's eyes" to attract more participants...

Eric being a land baron in central Alberta probably has a direct line to Boss Hog.

The local constabulary are pretty use to this gathering. Some years they have actually stopped traffic for us when we leave for the lake. They have indicated that a spirited initial acceleration is acceptable but to avoid any tire spinning. Now. That being said, if there's some new kid on the block with a badge, he may not be familiar with us, so drive accordingly is all I can say as there are no guarantees. lol...
 
I'd love to attend and meet y'all but I'll definitely be too busy at that time. Hopefully you guys can plan another meet up in July or August....🙂

Typically we only run this organized meet in May but not to say there's not some members up for a run later in the summer. I am in Alaska for July but a nice run in August is always up for grabs for me if there's some interest.
