Polar Jet Prepares For Take off

This year, I'm planning (I'm always planning but never doing :D) to put electric cutouts on the Chevelle. I want that thing to ROAR! But not in residential neighborhoods. I had the exhaust off the car when it blew up a muffler and getting on WOT with open headers gives me shivers! It sounds like it's going to tear your face off. One time when I was taking my Automotive Service Technician course I popped the exhaust off for some friends. I had half the school cleared out to see what was going on. Boy did I get in trouble for that one!!!!

I can really appreciate the stealth but sometime I want to make noise and strike fear into other people. :D

What's happening Rob -- did you get her out for a spin yet or is the weather as crappy there as it is here and no-go yet?

Saw Manny this morning and almost took the 'vette. Sure glad I didn't.

I'm finding it very difficult to stay positive...

Got the car back on Easter Friday and took it out a couple of times on Saturday. With the stock runflats and the temps barely into double digits, I didn't feel confident getting on the throttle too much. I did ease into it a couple of times and the feeling was wonderful. With the converter and the 3.42s, the car revs up quick and gets me into the blowers power band easily... if I want it to. Otherwise she drives completely like stock. One thing I noticed when on the highway at around 100km is that I can easily drive it in 6th gear now. I previously enjoyed driving at that speed in 5th in order to generate a better throttle response. No need now.

Looking forward to throwing on the bigger sized Michelin Pilot Super Sports and testing the car out when the temps exceed 20C.

That's so sick! I wish the weather was better so that you could've put your foot in her.

You must be excited. I can tell you from experience that the supercharger and 3.42's make for some excitement. I was running 305 Pilot super sports for a few thousand klms and although its a huge improvement from runflats you still need to use common sense. Too many believe the gas pedal is an on/off switch. :nono:
My super sports and wheels are now for sale as I'm going to something stickier.
Best advice I heard from Chuck Cow. "Make sure the car is pointed dead straight if you going to hammer the throttle"

I'd like to replace mine maybe with wider super sports when the coffers recover somewhat. Getting really tired of the noisy and hard OEM's:mad:

Agreed that the car feels stock and quite driveable -- even dosile ........ there's a very slight stumble when revving from low rpm's. That's the only noticeable difference in mine. Also can't wait to see her perform in warmer weather. -- lol, Canuck and Chuck Cow are right tho -- better make dang sure it's going in a straight line before nailing it. I got a hunch it'll go sideways very easily even with all the nannies on.

That's so sick! I wish the weather was better so that you could've put your foot in her.
LOL, Justin, mine is gonna pull like gangbusters -- Robs even more with those 3:42's and high stall...... I got a hunch these guys are good for somewhere in the 10's in the 1/4 -- That's OMG territory.

Talk about "Sit down, shut up, and Hang on"

I don't know how we'll describe Garry's -- That animal is going to be scary, scary fast.......
