I suspect the owner of this ..."Thing"...is from the school that says if you don't use all yer tools its not a real project. He's just getting started. I know this because every project needs an air hose AND a 2 x 4.

Early GM cost cutting where they eliminated four coil springs.

Makes me think about the 2023 C8 fiasco where you have to drill a 3" hole to open the frunk when the lock fails. Don't know if GM is saving weight or money by not having a key in 2023 sort of like this '58 with no springs. This is no joke .....I'm serious about the latest C8.

It seems that nobody in the car building business ever takes a step back and says... "If that ever broke , how could it be repaired or replaced." It just seems they try their hardest to "Make sure the only way it can be repaired is in the GM shop"
