Yes but it had nothing on it. No pricing options etc . I saw it before they removed the window sticker. I have requested one. Shitty dealer. Did not do a great prep - but, then again I am very annal and picky about such things.
Gorgeous...Gorgeous....Gorgeous !!!!!! Absolutely love the body colored trims.....I know lots like the black trim but i was never a fan of the black boomerangs not to say they dont look good i just prefer the body colored ones ....Enjoy !!

Yes, front sections painted same color as rest of car ... really, really like it. It handles crazy. Have to take it easy for 2400 Km. Went into curve to-day full speed - just held it's line like go cart. Crazy nice. Glad it is loaded. Z51 probably helps? Thank you for the compliment.
Supposedly once it's invoiced and paid for by the dealer, it's theirs to sell at whatever market value they want to put on it. Typically, dealers, to reduce their cash outlay, would floor plan vehicles with a company like NextGear Capital and pay interest until they are sold and then have to pay the floor plan out. Much like paying a supplier for something with a credit card and then paying interest every month to the credit card company. Whatever they do, It seems that GM hasn't slapped their fingers for it.
GM dealers arrange floor plan financing primarily with one of the large Canadian banks. This is in the form of a multi million dollar line and charged below bank prime. Each car is chattled and paid for. GM may assist in carrying costs by offering an interest free period to entice dealers to stock more. An amount equal to a certain number of days arrives to the dealer when the car is shipped. The manufacturer does not do this when there is a severe shortage of product.
The question of what a dealer sells a car for is up to them. It is the same for discounting. MSRP is a manufactures SUGGESTED retail price. A dealer can imply the manufacturer is supporting selling over list and the customer is aware they are paying a premium. In essence it is market price. GM does not receive any money back.
I respect the dealers that stick to list and even apologize to loyal long term customers they cant afford to discount because of the waiting lists. In most cases those dealers will prioritize customers they already have relationships with to avoid unfamiliar customers 'flipping' the car for 30 k more than they paid. It's found money the dealer did not take advantage of. If the car is flipped into the US, the customer will have an extremely hard time being able to order another one anywhere in Canada.
Lastly, when someone ships or sells to an exporter we all loose. GM Canada fights for allotment from the US when we are not a huge consumer. At best 10% of mainstream and far less in the sports car market. Once they receive that allotment it is distributed to the dealer network. Every time a new (less than 6 month old, under 12k) Corvette goes back to the US, GM concludes its one less we needed in the first place and won't increase our allotment, even reducing it.

MSRP's are set by the manufacturer to protect their market share with end customers. It is not set for retailers to go higher. It is set so it can go lower by the retailer for sales (On Sale for a limited time etc.) If all retailers go high it usually reduces the market share for that company all else being equal. Yes, these are not cans of beans or facial tissues we are talking about, but the principals are the same. GM does NOT like it when dealers sell over MSRP, but as long as demand is higher than supply it seems some can and will get away with it. If the GM dealers sold their high demand, high supply trucks at a premium, there would be a ton more F150's than there already are.

my local dealer had 5 Vettes flipped by customers last year and lost that many allotments because of that. Hard to blame them for buying the vehicles for the showroom floor and selling them for what the buyers will pay.
We do what we need to do and nice that we can afford to do it.... You will enjoy your choice.
I completely agree and will be paying a premium $1K for each month I enjoy the vehicle without the wait!

Yes it is. Thank you. It is an amazing car. I have only 399+ km on right now - 2000 or so to go to break her in; but, what I have experienced so far is amazing. Went into a curve the other day and accelerated out of it and she just held her line like a cart-amazing.
No surprise. C3 to C6 handling difference was amazing too. Then the C7 which was head and shoulders more amazing. I think my C7 corners like it's on rails so can just imagine what the C8 is like. Enjoy.... but I know you will. How about wifey? Does she like it yet?...

I loved my C7 as well. Hated parting with it. I would have loved to keep it; but, not in my world - LOL. I had it the way I wanted it and it was a blast to drive.
