Interesting to see Ford in France in that time period.

As Corvette enthusiasts do you suppose there was a generation of factory hot rods that influenced the buying decision making as much as the the old "Trans Am" series? I suspect the older generation on here were greatly influenced by the "Win on Sunday by on Monday" Moto. I know I was. These cars are just some of the over 5.0 litre class and there was an equally exciting division known as the 2.5 Litre side of the series. A few of the over know I am missing lots, like the Cougars. cars, so many and I know I am missing lots, like the Cougars.

One of my all time faves ..... the porsche 917 k ... this car has won the 24 hours of Lemans something like 20 times

In 2013 it was re imagined by Porsche and the result is absolutely amazing .... judge for yourself

This example is the 1970 Lemans winner in Salzburg Livery

Porsche 917K - 1970 Le Mans Winner - Salzburg Livery

This is the updated version ... 2013 ... put as many Ferraris as you like beside it ... they will pale to this work of art ... Im not sure if it ever went to market but I do believe its at the Porsche museum

Price ? I couldnt even begin to guess but its a pretty good bet its more than 20 bucks ;)

So simple in its design .... but so perfect

My two favourite Porsche 917's..The Ten and Thirty...Can Am killers, the L&M # 6 917 10 and the Sunoco/Cam 2 917 30...Porsche and Mark Donohue/Penske Racing designed machines. Sat right beside the 30 and Mark Donohue on the pit wall at Mosport in 1973 and was too shy to start a conversation. Donohue was always my hero, August 1975 Rest In Peace. Times have changed!!! ;)

Definitely. The Trans Am series gave us the , HP wise ,the underrated 302 cid in the Camaro and Mustang. Great engines and great cars.
The Trans-Am Series presented by Pirelli is a sports car racing series held in North America. Founded in 1966, it is sanctioned by the Sports Car Club of America(SCCA). Primarily based in the United States, the series competes on a variety of track types including road courses and street circuits. Trans-Am is split into the TA and TA2 classes for silhouette racing cars, while its production classes are the GT (grand touring), SGT (super grand touring), and XGT (extreme grand touring).

It was known as the CRC Chemicals Trans-Am Championship (1981–1983), the SCCA Budweiser Trans-Am Championship (1983–1984), the SCCA Bendix Brakes Trans-Am Championship (1985–1987), the SCCA Escort Trans-Am Series (1988) the SCCA Liquid Tide Trans-Am Tour (1991), the SCCA Tide Trans-Am Tour(1992), the NTB Trans-Am Series (1998), the BFGoodrich Trans-Am Series (1999–2000), the Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Cup (2001–2002), the Motorock Trans-Am Tour for the BFGoodrich Cup (2003), the Motorock Trans-Am Series (2004), and the Muscle Milk SCCA Trans-Am Series (2009).

Supposedly from someone's imagination.

AI Sciabbarrasi Alexandre is an Italian design page on Facebook, a digital creator who offers up creations of various car models using the power of AI (artificial intelligence). These cars look slick and like an entirely new and different brand of cars.

Most of these cars get a couple of hundred likes and interactions on their Facebook page, however, there was one that stood out far and away above the others, with a sharp and sleek look with a Maserati logo on the front.
