I promise I will take one, the heart of the beast is very dirty! And it’s AC line puked out all of the oil by the radiator. The previous owner told me this and it’s part of the reason why driving this time of year is good, no AC yet. I’ll replace the O-ring soon as I get home.

down for night in SSM.

other than ac not working which doesnt bother me, its clear there is a leak in the plumbing likely oring related, ....and the warming temps running down the road in 6th at 1800 rpm...the highest i saw was approx 206, which sounds fine, but i will flush the system anyways....
a bit of shimmy if i exceed 62 mph, feels like flat spot related wheel hop in the rear,

power door locks need to be lubed.

the door panels are perfect. passenger seat perfect. driver seat has couple small repairs needed nothing big...honestly its a heck of a car for 80k miles.

In Canada, apparently the cars were shipped with auto detecting headlights. They came on far too early. And the last thing I want to do is take this car to the track with the headlights up! So I will be looking how to somehow cleanly overriding not system in a way that allows it to be put back in place if a future owner wants it stock.

I’m heading to bed, here are some pictures of the Z where she sleeps tonight.

Incidentally here is a little sidenote. My wife and I watched episode five of Game of Thrones last night. Season 8.

All I could think of when the secondaries opened up as I pulled out to pass in third or fourth gear, what how the unique sound of the LT5 reminds me of a firebreathing dragon laying waste to the pavement below. incredible audio tones produced by this engine. not even close to the pushrod engine.

This is the best “Roving reporter” report I’ve seen posted in my time here. Pics and commentary. Better than anything I’ve put up.

Be sure to post pics of your “continental breakfast” in the morning too.

You are owning your Thread @VikingTrad3r and gaining an audience - for someone who says he’s not a social media type ... 👍🏻

Guys are too generous.

Mike you may have to settle for a pic of a tim hortons farmers wrap!

i have a business meeting t’d up at the thunder bay port and thats for 2pm tomorrow. 8 hrs to get there from here so i will be out the door at 6 which is really 4 for moi.

im expecting some pretty superb scenery tomorrow along the shores of lk superior. at least it looks like there should be from google maps ha! hoping to find some unique photo spots for the car.

apres my tbay meeting tomorrow, i will be proceeding westbound to a small town called Ignace where my family has a cabin around the area. the plan is to ask a friend who lives in the town if i can park the Z in a garage and then get a ride out to camp for a night. might even spend two nights at the cabin. if the internet is working there ill share a few pics from the cabin.

i need to sleeeep but im too excited to sleep.

off we go on day 2
After a small holiday inn express breakie, im heading North for some business in Tbay, then on to a cabin for overnight.

Sault ste Marie kind of smells...different than what Im used to. Excellent hospitality and the highschool sports circut is alive and well here as i had to compete for the cheese omelettes with a boys and girls basketball team.

Looks like the Z got a bit wet overnight.

Checked the oil. All good, halfway in the hash marks.

Here is a pic of the heart of the beast. Dirty! I’ll have that fixed up real quick. Check out the ac leak. Guessing orings??

Looking for some photo ops today as i ride along beside Lake Superior.

I think the sensor that detects the ambient light is hooped or maybe the small red globe that sits over top of the sensor is clouded out or something. My lights have rotated on and off probably 100 times since this morning. doubt its a big deal.

if anyone knows an easy way to disable the auto-on feature from the canadian cars completely that would be awesome.

Checking from White River!! Cell signal has been spotty.

This is a photo of the sensor that I think is hooped. Or it’s clouded up and thinks it’s shady outside at least

thats lk superior. Getting into this look out was a little dodgy. Some serious potholes in the gravel.

This picture is funny, I pulled over twice thinking I had an engine bay fire or something. You know, a little bit cautious when you show up and drive a vehicle home 3000 km. Well I finally caught up to the cause of the smell. As in this photograph!

I like these little signs all across the country for the communities.

As a geologist I had no idea that this deep into the Canadian shield the topo graphic relief was this large. You can barely make it out, I almost did a U-turn to take a good quality photo. The cliffs above Lake superior are at least 400 feet tall.

Finished gassing up in White River and on our way again.

Great thread Viking. Other than your rush to make your meeting in TB, there are lots of scenery stops along that route. First time I drove cross country, it was windy and my buddy thought Lake Superior was the ocean. Geography wasn't his strong point. lol...

We expect to see some more great pics and story tonight... Safe travels.

Looks cloudy and the sensor may be sensitive. I get that in my 2015 Sierra on Cloudy Days. All I could do for now was black it out just to make sure its working ... otherwise I think I will risk a dash rattle if I want my dash taken apart ... I can surely understand the nuisance when headlights pop-up (other than be assured ... that they do pop up  )

Who hasn't had that "what's that smell" during a ride :Wideyed: ... just as funny is that this "smell event" made it to your awesome Journey Thread

:Lurk5:
