To your point, I paid more for my 2018 Ram 3500 Dually than I did for my 2019 GS.
Hummers can be a lifetime expenseYes agree. I paid more for my Hummer than my last 2 Z06s combined.
I had a girl at a gas station putting in gas lean on my car a couple of years ago. This was on the way to MITM. There was a gasp from 20+ other corvette guys as they saw this happening. I did not hesitate to march over and tell her to ger her ass off my 100K+ car. Of course, she or others doing this are not trying to damage anything; it is just a thing people do.
I think Eric has pictures of this awkward traveling moment...
I have only had someone lean back on my fender once and politely asked them to not lean on the car. They may have called me a bad name later but said oops.. sorry/ and they moved off. You never know... All it takes is something sticking out of a pocket or metal pocket rivets in a pair of jeans and you can easily have a scratch that won't buff out..JMO.....And yes Derek.... I do have the gas-girl-butt picture

Except then you end up with this Dennis....lolThat's a very interesting stance to put gas in a car!!!
We have all seen the carboard signs guys leave on the windshield at car shows. "Please don't touch"
A friend of mine had one made for car shows warning people
"If you want to lean on the car you better be naked"
It does get their attention in a pleasant way!
Windshields ... Yes ... one does need to be careful where to put the sign.... We have all seen the carboard signs guys leave on the windshield at car shows.

hmmmm.... I think I remember that...Windshields ... Yes ... one does need to be careful where to put the sign.
I was at a few show and shines in the first year of corvette ownership.
Meeting a lot of nice people.
Mid Season I had my Chip-Seal incident that resulted in my new car
being completely panel-off repainted.
In the process the repair company called me up to let me know that
they found a “do not touch” sign within my driver door. I had no idea.
No biggie and mentioning for awareness about placing them on
driver or passenger windows as they may slide down between the glass
and the seal - although no one would ever know it’s there.
I reclaimed the sign to use at certain events for placing on the
front windshield or on top of the dash. I modified it slightly for the
same purpose ... however for it also to be placed on my Wife's Corvette.
ok ... now for the real story ...
Paid a $1k insurance deductible to get a sign removed
from behind the driver door panel...
oh and took the opportunity to have my New Corvette panel-off repainted in the process.
Dusted the sign for fingerprints but they were not conclusive/incriminating.
Here's the thumbprint we were able to capture ...

Here's my adjusted sign that I now use ...

.. I've been waiting for just the right time to make
light of this surprise ... thank you for priming the opportunity ...
as with the butt against the car ... I try to keep it real easy in
the best way that I can ... so I have the California Duster in the
back hatch space to bring out and use/resolve
Do you dust the offender or the car?

Hey Rruuff, yeah not a bad fish, unfortunately about 3lbs below keeper size. Only a 27 incher, 29.5 is keeper size. Yes Cold Lake is a great fishery, we love it. I usually stick to down-rigging but gonna go find some submarines this year.Nice Laker. Cold Lake has recovered into a pretty darn good lake. Some big Northerns in there as well.
I find it hard to cast out of a submarine but that could just be me...lol.... These came out of Hassett Lake north of The Pas, Manitoba. One of our favorite lakes...Hey Rruuff, yeah not a bad fish, unfortunately about 3lbs below keeper size. Only a 27 incher, 29.5 is keeper size. Yes Cold Lake is a great fishery, we love it.
