Jesus, how much has this cost me...

We get 7 cents a litre rebate from Co-Op on all fuel purchases including home heating oil. They pay it out twice a year I believe. Even if top tier costs more by a few cents it’s well worth it considering how little it is over the course of a year. Peanuts when you’re talking about a 15 or 20 thousand dollar engine.
What? CO-OP here only pays out once a year and they base it on sales and profit. I think I got 5 cents back this spring on my cheque. I use to buy bourbon from their liquor store too but they itemize how much you spend in each category and that scared me... :Banghead:

No it's not. Unless you are using a VPN! lol.
Seriously neither is a paywall
Maybe a browser issue.

Interesting! I am using chrome. It wouldn't surprise me that they'd want a subscription, but I don't have one.
Same issue with the “ Globe and Mail “ . A VPN will actually help not hinder access to many websites. US versions of Netflix and Prime Video come to mind as well as BBC I-Player .

Yes, but not if it is checking your location. Doesn't make sense in this case though. Beats me. They are both open to me and Jack is of no help! LOL

Ya. It used to be 9 cents they cut it to 7 . I bought 91 yesterday at Shell for my C8 and later bought 87 for my truck at co-op and noticed that the 91 at Shell was 4 cents cheaper than co-op’s 91 . So really that makes the rebate only 3 cents. Although I did find out that both sell Top Tier fuel so 3 cents is 3 cents. I can save up for a toaster oven….

Location seems to be a big reason for price differences. We have a Petrocan that is always higher than C.T. sometimes a lot higher and they are only 2 KM.s apart on the same road. The Petrocan is the last one leaving Uxbridge and the first one entering Uxbridge so that may make a difference.

Yesterday was the first time I have noticed a difference in price between any of the stations here, they are usually identical to the tenth of a cent. And unlike some places like Nova Scotia for example there is no government setting of prices. Doesn’t matter where you are though they have us by the short hairs .

I use Duck Duck Go . No tracking by default.
The DuckDuckGo browser uses WebView, the OS-provided rendering engine.

In its essence, it's just a UI slapped on to WebView, which is why it's so small. At the moment, the only WebView options are Chrome and Chromium, so basically, DDG uses Chrome/Chromium. AOSP has Chromium, but I'd imagine most phones would ship with the Chrome WebView.

There is a Mozilla project called GeckoView which could, theoretically, at some point, with some development, be used instead of Chrome in WebView. So if you (theoretically) plug GeckoView in as a WebView provider, suddenly your DuckDuckGo browser would be using Firefox instead of Chrome.

The concept is really quite simple. In order to crank out more horsepower, you need higher compression, and that means you need higher octane gas. It is really just that simple.

The C8 is a high compression engine. Minimum 91 for it to be happy and pre-detonation free. Any lower, and you are playing with…..fire.

And retarding timing happens AFTER detonation is already detected, so a bit later than you want.

It's not that simple. Ambient temperature has a lot to do with it.
