Several years ago I heard a radio host tell his co-host that she shouldn't use her cars manufacturers recommended 87 octane because it will hurt her car. She should only use premium! It seems you can't even trust radio host as well as the internet! lol

Shell have Top Tier as well as Co-Op here in YK . Just paid $1.86 a litre today for 91 octane. There is a difference between Top Tier and standard fuel and it doesn’t seem there is much if any difference in price.

Ya, I don't go to Ultramar or Pioneer anymore. Costco apparently only buys top tier fuels. That's likely the best price. I use C.T. because of the dollars back. They only buy top tier fuels also.

Paid 2 bucks for 93 the other day at Esso ......

The C8 gets the 93 cuz its what I have been using since new , necessary ? definately not

My small engines get 91

Everything else gets Costco el cheapo

LOL Esso gave me a card to save 3 cents per liter up to 300 liters .... must have been my lucky day ... Ill use it and go buy lottery tickets with the savings
