If you could load up the Corvette and just go

I've done 42 States & 7 Provinces on several different motorcycles since I was 16 years old.
Probably about 20 states in Corvettes.
I would love to have about 6 weeks (or more) to do the the 4 corners of North America and all interesting points in between.
I prefer driving trips over flying trips. so this would be perfect for me.

Now all I need is a summer off & a big bag of cash & I'm ready to go.:canada:

The Blue Ridge Parkway.
483 turns winding thru the hills of . N/C.
It is suppose to be the best drive in North America.

The Blue Ridge is very pretty, but only a 45 mph speed limit and filled with even slower motor homes. Plus it is very heavily policed.
Did it for a couple of hours and got painfully bored. Dropped down to the lower road & had A BLAST.:canada:

Brain, that video is great! Absolutely love the sound of your car!

I'm looking forward to hitting some nice windy roads on the PCH this summer. Should be a blast!

I think fuse #10 was pulled. :)

If I did PCH in the summer months I would probably go crazy. I drove the Z06 back in late April and the ZR1 in January to the road was less busy. Too many motorhomes/cars in the summer.

But if you just want an easy slow drive then it should be fun.

I am a corner carver ( within reason ) and a horsepower freak... prefer the roads less busy.

:)

The video I posted https://vimeo.com/9373442 was this road.

Latigo Canyon Road

This was a newer smoother curvy road.

I spent 1-2 days just driving the canyon roads...... many more fun drives!

Be careful, some had cliffs on the corners!

I would love to go on the autobahn!

But, with North America in mind, I would leave Edmonton, head to Jasper, and take the Banff-Jasper freeway.

From there, into the interior of BC, and down the Idaho panhandle. Hang a right at Boise, and roll on down to the pacific coast highway. I'd go all the way to San Francisco, with a detour through wine-country. Then cross over the Sierra Nevada into Reno, and south to Las Vegas and on to Palm Springs.

While in the desert, I would stop at the track in Thermal (google it, it's the nicest track in the world minus Nurbergring).

After going through the gears, it's up Route 66, and back home though Sedona, Bryce Canyon, Utah, and Montana. Last stop would be the seasonal highway dividing Waterton and Montana--one of the most scenic drives around.....check it out.

That would be a nice few week cruise......with the golf clubs of course!

I just might go to bed dreaming this scenario. It is freaking cold out..............woof.

I was going to say that......The BRP is great to wind down from spending a week at Deals Gap area.

If anyone wants a great destination to really drive your car (I have only done it on bikes), go here. TONS of amazing roads in the area, just go in the middle of the week to avoid the traffic.

My bucket list is the PCH.

WOWWWWWWWW This was a nice trip for sure, the vette must feel just like home on these roads. I am sure you could not take the smile out of your face (dry teeth at the end of the road).:driving:

here's an idea: buy this nice black 2002 ZO6 in B.C. now and head south, would be the perfect car for the trip down the PCH and accross the bottom of the states then back up here in April : Corvettes For Sale [Canadian Section] - Page 24 - Corvette Forum
Hey a guy can dream!
