I’ll let you know if anything develops. Done hijacking Grandsp69s thread here. 😊

Murray. I've been in your garage.... lol.... The car is supposedly an M7 Spence.
The one in Quebec was suppose to be an M7 too but dealer website shenanigans has that wrong. Derek was dealing with that while he was on the other side of this planet. This is just a part of the stuff that keeps hopes tamed until it’s verified. If it is an M7 ... I’m out though.
Now it’s a matter of 100% knowing for sure what the colour is for Derek ... I think I read that an orange one was seen in the showroom (message 77) and website is maybe not truthful with red. Again just a part of the stuff we are dealing with that I rant about once in a while ... but have learned that patient diligence is required as Derek is off again to the other side of this Rock.
The matrix grey M7 at Sherwood Park was bought by someone in Ontario so I’m surprised this one wasnt bought instead ... so I’m thinking not just the colour needs confirming but the tranny too. We will have it confirmed soon enough ...

Info on post #79 is directly from gm Canada inventory search so thinking torch red manual is right.....but then again stranger things happen.... Capture+_2019-01-14-09-13-22.png

Agreed and good knowing the info is from GM ... however maybe lighting playing tricks in the showroom for our friend ... maybe the orange one is actually a torch red one. After all the dealer website does not have an orange ZR1. Derek and I have found this is just part of the where’s ZR1 Waldo game ...

I can take a pic for you guys on Friday. I’ll be there to drop off proof of insurance. I’m pretty sure I was told the orange zr1 is owned by the owners son and is not for sale

Ok that will surely explain why it’s not in the website ... now on to the red one ...

Actually Picts of the Red one would be awesome ... and a photo of the factory MSRP window sheet 😳 would be sweet ...

I’m very sorry for the guy interested in the ZR1. Apparently the car on the floor was red and that’s the owners car. It’s not for sale and my sales guy said they should have taken down the Ad. I’m sorry for the confusion.
He even sent me a photo.

Sweet zr1 :Woot: ... awesome :Snaphappy: ... and thank you … but should immediately be off that website.
As it is apparently an dealer owners car … it's obvious what's going on as it appears no rush to remove it.
Always seems to be a reason for new arrivals to be automatically be inserted - but the service is paid for by them too.
Nicely placed and roped off on the New Sales Floor saying … "na-na-na-boo-boo" …
I (we) very much appreciate your time and understanding for our hijack of your thread.
ZR1 findings like this is becoming "a norm" of what one (or yes, two of us) experience
with what I refer to as ZR1 shenanigans.
Really trying to keep words kind ... as this is not isolated to just this one occurrence.
It is always great to have the uplifting feeling of the potential of a ZR1 on the floor
in Canada and we are getting rather seasoned with the result of these finds by not letting hopes get too high.

and NOW - Back to our regular scheduled program and YOUR NEW GRAND SPORT CORVETTE

Thanks.
The corvette product specialist there sent me a reply to my query about the car they are advertising. Explained it’s sold and offered to help me with a different corvette.

I thank him for wasting my time with his click bait ad, told him i already own a corvette and pressed send. 😂

Another dealership that goes onto the sluff pile for me.

Congrats on the new vette OP! I've been searching and dealing with different dealerships across Canada for a few months now myself. It's been very hard to get them to offer anything more than 7-8% off MSRP. The car's I'm personally interested in sit at about 86k MSRP, would buy at 73k(15% off MSRP) if I could get them to deal more. Factory order they all basically tell me to forget about it at that price.

Well not sure how broad your search net is but looks like lakewood still has their black gs a8. 1LT for better than your trigger 15% off...if you like that configuration. New 2019 Black Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport 1LT For Sale in Edmonton

Well.... Not sure how I missed that one.. wasn't originally too interested in black but that's a very interesting car to consider still... very similar specs to what I want. Need an M7 though!
Appreciate the link though! Gives me something to go off of moving forward!

Been searching the majority of Canada, Alberta tends to have the best deals I've found.

Hey thank you!
I’d say be patient and do your homework. Also it helps a lot knowing the prices of the cars you’re interested in in your area. Pick 2 or more cars you want before going out to negotiate. Don’t get nervous during negotiations they can tell and will take advantage. Set a walk out price. If they can’t meet your price stand up and walk out there’s a better deal waiting for you.

I’m not an expert but that’s what worked for me and got 13k off of msrp.

Good luck and I hope to see your “I’m making an offer post” soon.

You bet and use that as leverage if/when dealing with smaller family owned dealerships near you ... as from experience the chain dealerships would be a waste of time and they still have not yet convinced me to say anything other than that for at least 6 years of active shopping now (during which I have been involved in 10 new purchases - 5 of which are mine) best of good fortune on your hunt 😁👍🏻

Ah, so it is red. Hmmm, let's see if it is a manual. Then the actual price....
Man if that red was available for you it would have looked like this one.. Owwwwwwwwow drop dead gorgeous! I could probably see it from your place where I am in the northend. Image hijacked from someone in the US taking delivery. For me...PLEASE LOTTOMAX!!!!
