Finger Lakes Wine and Dine

Hi everyone, I am thinking of traveling to the Finger Lakes NY. Region in the month of June.
Anyone been there and can advise on the best routes for a nice drive.
And no I will not be drinking and driving.:nono:

Haven't been there since about 1972... but pretty well all the roads around the lakes were curves and hills and very good pavement.

The IMSA races (with the Corvette Team) is a little south of there at Watkins Glen the end of June if that is when you are headed that way

make sure you drive the old road race course, just follow the signs, check out Seneca Lodge while you are there, the bar is amazing and the restaurant is good.

Yeah there are a few groups headed that way for the race weekend and to drive the old road course. It will be my first trip but it sounds like a long of people make it an annual event.

If the car arrives I just may be up for this...we do the trip around the lakes on the bike each summer...the new Z06 would def be the way to go.

Drove down to the finger lakes area last weekend and must say it's a beautiful place and the people are very nice and accommodating.
Roads around the lakes are in good condition only drawback speed limit 35MPH.
Will be revisiting last week of July, too much to see and drink

If you go back do yourself a favour and check out Oswego Speedway, Home of the Supermodifieds on Route 104 about 20 miles east of Highway 81 which goes to the border. Right on the shores of beautiful Lake Ontario.

Saturday night Open Wheel racing with methanol big blocks in a tube chassis, fastest short track racers in the world. Great place to be entertained on the way to The Glen. 5/8 mile paved oval with laps in the 140 mph range, 150 with the wings on. Typically 25 to 30 cars, most are very competitive..

Love the Finger Lakes. Make sure you stop at the motor racing museum right in WG. Very interesting. Corning is another lovely spot.
