After 5 months of no updates from the GM Live Chat people, I was informed this morning I have a TPW of December 8. Yay! Some light at the end of the tunnel. The garage is cleaned and waiting. I realize a Christmas delivery is probably unlikely; but it is beginning to look like Christmas to me. :D

montreal-c7: mine is a Z51 Crystal Red Tintcoat Coupe 2LT with now the transparent roof [sigh], the jet black interior. I treated myself to the NPP, mag ride and NAV w/PDR. I stayed with the aluminum wheels and the black calipers

On delivery how are you planning on getting your baby home? If it is cold and dry roads I will just drive mine home (about 1km). If dealer forces my hand and does not let me wait until dry roads, I may have to arrange covered transport if it is yucky weather. Ontario roads in winter = a ton o' salt and brine :(

Vindic8r ; I too had to take the transparent roof ....red roof was on constraint. I also took the nav and PDr. No mag ride though. And NPR is included now with the z51 package. I'm most likely will have to flat bed it home. If its built week of dec 8th I'm guessing delivery will be sometime in late jan or early feb?
Where in canada are you located? How will you get yours home?

If the road are clean and you want to register the car as storage, you can borrow at ''X'' license plate from your dealer to drive it home. Just be nice whit the fun pedal, these tire are more summer tires then 4 seasons, they slip easily on cold surfaces. Congrats for the new ride, it will probably be the longest winter of your life.

OMG yes. As one family member put it, it would be like giving my grandson a Christmas present on Christmas, letting him unwrap and then storing it on a high shelf so he cannot play with it until the snow has gone :(
 
Hey Vindic8r! Congrat on the new ride! I could not imagine the wait, however, by the sounds of it, your in good company with others in your situation. Can't wait to hear when you finally take delivery!

I will shout it out for sure. Thanks. No one will be more happy to see the Corvette arrive than my wife. She says that maybe I will shut the Hades up about the car once it arrives. :eek:
