Federal Election 2021

(Something New)
"Things come in waves"
... who will not personally understand this for going forward with most everything now?

(Something Old)
"Learn from the past or it will repeat"
Is this not what is said in response to all levels of abuse?

Yes it's non-helicoptered deep-thinking for an understanding of so many things in life ...
OK ... gotta leave a few Gigabytes of off-topic for others on CCF ...

99% of Forum members are combustion engine guys, electric down the road maybe. Remember, the extra money on these cars pays for a lot of Corvette gas. Enjoy our vettes!

Let's face it, we will all pay dearly for those who drive electric cars. After all, this is a business, and Governments are sucked right in. Providing money to help them out of dealer's doors, but getting lots of tax in the meantime at these overinflated prices. A similar combustion engine car is thousands less and will provide you pleasure at a great saving, even after filling your tank up.
It wasn't that long ago, no one could afford electric heating in a home. The rush then, was back to natural or propane gas. Where in the world will all this extra electricity come from when the winds die, and the clouds and snow roll in. Greens just talk, and no answers when confronted. Used batteries, old windmills, and old solar panels will be a curse on dumps and society everywhere! Carbon tax in an invention to tax us all more. Canadian forests do a fine job of eliminating carbon in Canada. Wake up Canada vote the Government out, in 3 weeks.

Some interesting comments indeed .......... All I will add is as follows, yes I voted for young Trudeau, but, he's not getting it again.....
Kudos for admitting Paul. Here in Alberta after Rachael Notley and the NDP's killed us, there were only 7 people province wide that admitted voting for her.... lol...

You are being way too nice to J.T. The list of screw ups is so much larger then what we know of.

Understand that JT is only the front man. He, in reality, is the “Manchurian”. The party itself has taken a hard left turn and not just on policy but also on their views of collectivism vs individualism. This is important because it sets the stage for “the good of the many outweighs the needs of the few”. This is the beginning of authoritarian government. The Charter here in Canada and the US Constitution were not designed to protect the rights of society. They were written to protect the rights of the individual from being ruled by the tyranny of the majority. Those rights are slipping away.

Scandals happen in all governments. Government is made up of fallible people. For me the test is where does a particular party fall on my rights and their commitment to maintaining those rights.

I fear it matters not as Covid has clearly indicated that the moment the masses are physically threatened, financially threatened, or their lives of convenience are threatened, that they immediately run to big brother looking to be bottle fed, spoon fed, patted on the head and told everything will be all right.

“Just give me all control and I will make everything better”….said every government.

Vote for the party that will take away your rights the slowest.

What gets me is how they all are throwing money at anything and everything. You got a Problem? here's a few million. OH, and vote for me.
Don't particularly like our political set up where if you like the leader but hate the "local" rep or vice versa like the local but hate the leader, who do you vote for???
Well, at least so far, we are not as hard done by here as a lot of Republicans south of the border who believe their election of the second coming of christ was stolen.
Got a little proverb right near me. "Its better to like what you have than to have what you like"
Sometimes we, as Canadians, need to step back a bit and appreciate what we have. Things can always be improved. As my old geometry teacher told me "Perfection does not exist".
Wish we could get someone in there who would administer the taxpayer monies rather than looking for ways to spend it.

Hit the nail on the head. Government controlling us so we keep working, keep the money wheels spinning to keep the politicians' wallets full. Rely on the government that has to rely on us. A vicious circle.

The biggest liberal comment I hear very consistently everywhere is that we need to more heavily tax the uber rich like Jeff Bezos to pay for all the liberal cry baby needs on the planet. Try and explain to these folks the fact that guys like Bezos took ALL of the risk and as a result HE has created 1,000,000 jobs around the globe. He creates more GDP than most countries and generates more personal, corporate and commercial property tax revenue internationally than these peons could even punch into their tear tilled calculator displays. They just don't get it. Does anyone with any common sense actually think that super rich business folks and corporations are going to "hangout" in Canada while we force them to pay for a socialist society??? WTF Don't like your $17/hr job at Amazon warehouse??? Go back to school for fuk sake and make your skills more marketable...If you have any work ethic and you are not a moron there are countless opportunities to make more cash around the globe....Jeff Bezos and the rest of us dont owe you s**t...
