Cross Canada Check Up - North of Canada Included

Hey Murray -- yep Winter has set in early here too with much snow and cold cold cold........as I always say (tho not this early usually): time to hibernate.

Been busy with Mom's transition to retirement home ..... condo sold now and we're just waiting for an opening in the home she chose.

Otherwise status quo here altho I lost my precious Sid (black cocker spaniel) some weeks ago and I miss him dearly as you can imagine. Jake is comforting me and helping me thru tho.

Hi to all hope you have a wonderful CHRISTMAS (never was very politically correct lol) will try to make it on more often now that things are settling somewhat.

Cheers
Colin.

Wow Colin how do you manged to look so tanned??

Sorry for your companion loss. Always a sad day when one whom we love so much and are loved back so unconditionally by are gone.

Nice to hear that things are moving forward with your mother. Sometimes it can be hard to transition from being so independent so I hope she has lots of activities lined up for herself.

Finished the 3rd coat of paint in my hobby room. Textured wall panels can be a pain to get covered fully. But I'm going to go with it as it looks now. Still have to do the door and window trim and then I can start moving my things into it from the acreage.

Getting my distances back up to 10 plus km a day now, running my first 1 km to help warm up. Must be two weeks of -20 or colder. Due to break this weekend, -2 on Monday?? Anyway lost 15 lb which I badly needed to have happen and not hopefully the motivation to continue to attack the next 15 and the 15 after that, and the 15 after that!!).

Going to be alone, well outside of my parents this holiday. Aidan goes to his mom on the 24th and returns on the 2nd and my gf is spending the holidays with her daughter in Calgary. Going to attend to some serious reading and with any luck model building.

Oh ya, bought Aidan and I a drone! Sounds like it must be a good one. 23 plus minute flying time, 35 mph, max altitude 20,000 ft above sea level and range 5 km under ideal conditions!! Haven't flown it yet and maybe next week when it is warmer............

Cheers,

Garry

Wow Graham.... I heard it snowed last week but I expected it to be gone and the tulips blooming again by now... ;)... Sterling is doing the model pose thing for the camera I see.... Modeling comes naturally for the French I guess....That left leg forward a bit and the partial sideways stance....Tell him to bend that knee just a bit more and it will be perfect...

Wow, Good Friday and it is indeed good in the middle of Ontario.

What a stunningly beautiful day, sun is shinning, temperatures up and no wind.

If the road keeps drying up the way it is I may be able to get the Corvette out for June sometime.

Have a wonderful weekend folks, we deserve it.
