According to Wikimedia and Google it is a

Messerschmitt Me 262 replica D-IMTT ILA 2012​

Here is what Wikipedia says: The Me 262 Project is a company formed to build flyable reproductions of the Messerschmitt Me 262, the world's first operational jet fighter. The project was started by the Texas Airplane Factory and administered by Classic Fighter Industries.

Years ago they raced the "Unlimiteds" at Barrie, Ontario. The majority of the racers were turbine powered and their speed was incredible. However, there was at least one if not two piston powered hydroplanes, the sound over the water was like nothing heard before.

Congrats to Rocket Rob... as a note pic is from Cap'n Als Gallery depicting the 1963 Detroit Gold Cup and yes I'm not that smart, info from Google. Enjoy your nothing.
