The X - 1 that was the subject of identification while under construction in an earlier post...
I am not so sure that is a "classic warbird" in the traditional sense of the term.. but we have already jumped the shark in here to the jet era.. soooo
No no. I am fine with older jet era stuff as well. No problems by me. I just wanted to make sure Eric didn't blame me for it as he usually does when I steer a thread off the rails.. or in this case auger it into the ground 
Many Canadians do not realize the contribution our once proud RCAF made to the efforts in the 50's and 60's. Here are some pics from CFB One wing (Marville France). I happened to be born in One Wing when my father was stationed there on Sabres and 104's.

Speaking of augured into the ground. I suspect this is actually a playground toy but perhaps not. Karen's would be going into meltdown over this today.
