Lol... My brother in law was an electronics tech for the F-18 in Cold Lake. He got to have a flight in one just before getting transferred. Not sure if his breakfast was light or not but he lost it anyway... lol...

The funny thing is Buffalo Joe in Yellowknife operated these airplanes until just a couple of years ago.


Knowing Buffalo Joe and Mikey, that DC4 was likely well over it's max capacity. Transport Canada shut them down in 2015 for multiple safety infractions. Joe had to "step away" before thay woud reinstate them and Mikey took over operations (supposedly). They have a list of accidents as long as my arm, luckily without any casualties. I've met Joe and Mikey several times at their base in Penhold. Very interesting fellow Joe is. Rough around the edges is an understatement but the man has a ton of stories to tell.
