Can you still buy at MSRP?

Every single C8 near me on autotrader is 135k+ CAD, before tax and fees. Why? The MSRP for the base one is like 72k CAD. Who the hell is out there paying this much for a Corvette? Surely people are buying them like hotcakes if dealers are getting away with this. I know it's a cool car but give me a break, I can buy a brand new ZL1 and have money left over for a used C7.

Is this the new norm now? The once sort of affordable "super" car is now completely unaffordable with an almost x2 price jump.
But you would still have a ZL1...lol. I paid MSRP for my C8 Z51 HTC, but I know there are many who are not as fortunate. Happy Motoring!

A 3LT, Z51 HTC after market are selling for close to $150K plus, here in BC at least 25% in taxes depending on trade-in. I took delivery of a brand new fully loaded 2022, 3LT, Z51 HTC end of October 2021: MSRP was $121K + $2K delivery. I paid quite a bit over the $123K; but, I have an awesome car. I got $60K for my C7 stingray - 2016 - saved 25% on the $60K. It is a head turner and I love the car - my 5th corvette. I can't take my money with me - so, bought what I wanted - dealer jerked me around - on list early 2021 - then mid year 2022 started being built - told might not get a 2022. This car came up and I bought it.
