There are some unscrupulous dealers. They have a friend order the car or the dealer can order one personally as we've seen at FInch. They are supposed to keep the cars for a year (I believe) before they can sell them,. but if a friend buys one ....

I wonder if one of the dealers on the forum can corroborate the one year policy.

Bit of naivety here folks... Once the dealer buys and receives a car they can can do anything they like with it... No obligation to keep the car for any period of time... no obligation to sell at MSRP... It is their car to sell any way they want. There have been many ads on Kijiji, including for the C7 ZR1 where dealers do not have any in stock. Clickbait at it's finest.... "Sorry. We just sold the last one but we can put you into a new Spark at a great price, or you can put a deposit down and we will get you one.... someday".... Yes. Unscrupulous but not uncommon and not illegal.
