C7 best mileage????

You promise?

It pretty much sounds like I was walking past a civil class. :D I guess you know you are really old when you hit the fossil layer.

Now, back to on topic as people could actually be interested in the topic and speaking of fuel mileage.
I'm sure the 60's vettes used to measure their mileage by gallons to the mile.
Does anyone know when mileage took a jump in Vettes?
Did it actually jump during the smog era or did it come with the Doug Nash 4+3 or when they finally installed the 6 speed in the C4?

here you go Riley. Us old fossils are good for something..... :p.... looks like the improvement in MPG began around 1980 and steadily but slowly creeped upward from there... with a couple of setbacks of course.... this chart only goes back as far as 1978 but I'd be surprised if there were many decent mileage cars before that. This is all US mpg as well so for those of us that lived in the Imperial era, the numbers would sound about 1.2 times better using our old gallon.

Pretty neat link! I notice the 1983 Corvette gets great mileage...... It just may be a little difficult finding one. :D

I do not normally pay attention to my what the computer is telling me, just to what my range was/is.

On a normal trip, I fill it up just before the fuel light comes on, it normally says about 100km of range left. The best I have gotten out of a tank is just over 730ish km. I would assume if I ran it much lower, I can go over 800km. That is with spirit diving too, and that is just amazing from a car with over 400hp, headers, full exhaust and a mild street tune.

Is it a C4?

Personal best for me in the Z after 31000km and I still have never found a way to try the speed limit lol...
