Standards of living change as we experience luxuries and then absolutely can't do without them... I remember when practically no one had air conditioning in their vehicles... cruise control.. heated steering wheel and seats, rain sensing wipers, adaptive cruise, lane warning and auto centering control....Alexa or Siri or Gemini to chat with while you are driving.... lol.... I'm to the point now if a new vehicle doesn't have all the toys, I won't buy it....Ya, power windows were a must have once they became mainstream. Like auto headlights, Ford probably still offers them only as an option!
