They are getting bolder and dumber every day. There was one guy downtown removing copper wiring beside the Shoppers Drug Mart. In the middle of day!
 
They don't even hold them anymore in Alberta unless it's a murder. Kick them out on the street with a court date they never show up for. Doesn't matter how many warrants are outstanding either. By the time they might catch up to them, they've acquired an illegal gun, commit a break in and shoot someone. Then the public wonders how this could have happened. A sad testimonial to our justice system and no wonder why people are turning towards self protection.

Apologies for my non-humorous post in this thread but my disgust in the system came alive.

I recently picked a new primary care doctor.
After two visits and exhaustive lab tests, he said I was doing 'fairly
well' for my age. (I just turned "mid eighties").
A little concerned about that comment, I couldn't resist asking him,
'Do you think I'll live to be 90?'
He asked, 'Do you smoke tobacco, or drink beer, wine or hard liquor?'
'Oh no,' I replied. 'I'm not doing drugs, either!'
Then he asked, 'Do you eat rib-eye steaks and barbecued Ribs?'
I said, 'Not much... my former doctor said that all red meat is very
unhealthy!'
'Do you spend a lot of time in the sun, like playing golf, boating,
sailing, hiking, or bicycling?'
'No, I don't,' I said.
He asked, 'Do you gamble, drive fast cars, or have a lots of sex?'
'No,' I said...

He looked at me and said, 'Then, why do you even care?​

How did doctors come to the conclusion that exercise prolongs life?

The rabbit is always jumping, but it lives for only 2 years.
The turtle that doesn't exercise at all, lives 200 years.
