I am going to try and get it overnighted here through my contacts. I feel so sorry for the members in Western Canada that have horror stories lately about cars sitting in Kansas City, Toledo or Chicago waiting for a train. I prefer the Rick Hendrick approach of taking care of business yourself!
The timing is good to get it ahead of the strike.
 
Sounds like they want a 4 day work week.
40 hours/5 days a week reduced to 32, would be dropping a day. More or less.
It's being pushed by lots of other companies staff, and already in place at some tech and semi-tech companies.
Supposed to be beneficial in some ways, although no pay increase (initially), and productivity has to stay at or above the 5 day levels.

Yes, and I don't think it's a good idea or possible to speed up the line speed to build 700 Stingrays, plus Z06's and now plus E-Rays in 4 days instead of 5.
They would need to bring on a third shift to work 11 pm to 7 am to keep the current production levels. They could increase production levels by adding this
third shift to work Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to make up for what the first two shifts didn't build on Fridays because they want every Friday off.
This would result in a 20% pay increase for the first two shifts as they now don't want to work Fridays. I don't know if Mary Barra is prepared to give that kind
of increase to the UAW and the UAW would never agree to a pay reduction for working less hours. There will be other demands as well they are also going to want.
I'm hoping for all those that are waiting for 2024's, an agreement comes quickly, but every year or two the UAW creates demands that are hard to agree to.

Yes, I do, I posted the Canadian E-Ray pricing for the members a month ago nobody else has. I haven't added the most recent price increase to that as I am still trying to confirm how much our freight is going up for 2024 cars.
Jack, you crack me up! How the frig did you know?? Last fall when the Malibu was deleting the 2.0 litre turbo, 9 speed automatic and the Premier model, I picked one up on the last day that 0% financing was available on October 31st. I stored it for the winter and used another car I had and it's actually a really nice car with lots of power!

I have a 2014 Malibu 2.0 turbo! Really nice for a 4 liter.

Agree Murray for a 4 banger it goes. Mine came with the dark grey 19 inch wheels that are an $1875 option on the Corvette.
I was able to get it ceramic coated in my Garage the following week as it didn't need that much paint correction after I got it.

If anyone is interested a brand new 2023 HTC 3LT Z51 at the old pricing before the $12,000 price increase which in Ontario after luxury tax and HST on both comes to $16,272 extra. Anyone interested in saving over $16 grand on a car that's available now with no waiting?

Gave up trying to buy/order a Z06 and sold my 20 C8 3LT. Bought a CT5 V Blackwing; had a terrible dealership experience. I will try one more time and buy/order a ZR1. If that doesn’t work out this long time Corvette buyer will probably never buy a new GM car again. Dealerships are the reason GM doesn’t sell more cars now; I dread the interaction with these non-car enthusiasts.
