Anyone Else Fascinated By Old Locomotives?

Great pics MURRAY.
Love these train shots.
I might make a point later of stopping in at a ‘train’ forum and post some Corvette pics.
I wonder if that will be as well received as the train pictures are on here.?? Ha ha
We are a very well rounded group.

@Pep Randy..those trestle viewscapes are tremendous.
A couple of boxes of toothpicks and some wood glue and I could make one for my train layout.
I seem to have the time!

more pictures boys.

Graham, always causing trouble. Good for you!!

The caption says Superior, Wisconsin and I wonder if these are for grain storage to be shipped via the Great Lakes. Massive structure whatever they are for. Assume that is one of the rail lines on top of the berm. Anybody know?

From The Google.. and before you say it yes, Eric, I DO know how to work The google at my advanced age :)

"What is superior Wisconsin known for?
Village government was established in 1887 and Superior received a city charter in 1889. Its population included large numbers of Finns and Scandinavians. Superior developed economically primarily as a result of its excellent port. It has some of the largest facilities in the world for the shipping of ore and grains."

Good guess. I would say most likely grain terminal as well.

Maybe put some perspective on the size of the structure above...
