George's Trains a long time scale railroad shop in Markham, Ontario sends out an e flyer every Friday. One the the reasons I look forward to getting this is the Picture of the Week. This one is an eye opener for me because I thought these trains that my father called "Dayliners" disappeared years ago. Apparently there is still at least one left.
"During a trip from Sudbury to White River I got this picture on Oct.19th. 2019 of our train VIA 185 sitting in Chapleau. It consists of three VIA-RDCs from the fifties. They are the last RDCs on a regular schedule. As old as they are they are nicely renovated and beautifully to travel with. In the background to the right there is Canadian Pacific #5792. This SD40-2 locomotive was built by GMD 1978 and is about 20 years newer."
